Hayden's POV

I wonder what Scarlett is about to tell me but whatever. We got into the dining room, and I seated beside Sarah. I decided to keep my distance from Scarlett from now because I would continue falling, and she wouldn't be able to catch me.

"What are you guys talking about in there?" Sarah whispered to me.

"I just introduced Peanut, then she said she was going to tell me something, but you interrupted it."

"You said you will keep your distance from her"

"I am... starting later... Or maybe tomorrow."

"Look, babe, a bitch, you can't keep a promise to herself."

"I promise I will. Watch me"

The dinner continued, and I didn't talk much, and my grandmothers and Tia shared glances at each other. They can understand each other by battling their lashes with each other. Guess who's the topic of their mind meeting. Of course, ME! Then my Lola gave me the "we'll talk after this shit, so better get your shit ready" look, if you are Filipino, you know that look.

The dinner ended.

Oh God, let me live a little longer. I am still a virgin.

"You guys go to the living room. We'll take care of this. Hayden, would you mind helping us?"

Fucking hell.

"Yeah, Tia"

Everyone went to the living room and enjoyed themselves; meanwhile me I was being tortured.

"Care to share what's up with you?" My Lola said, not looking up while washing the dishes.

"Nope..."

"Okay... If you say so... I tell you everything but you no. I mean, who are we, right? We're just your grandmothers and your birth giver."

Not the guilt.

"Okay! Okay! Just don't use that guilt thing. I'm just not in the mood to talk, okay?"

"Oh really? Come on, Hayden spit it out." My tia said.

"Yeah, sweetheart, maybe we can help." My grandmom added.

"I'm keeping my distance with Scarlett because-"

"We all know why so don't go any further. Do you think your feelings will be gone if you keep your distance?"

"Yup. It's easier this way."

"No apo, it will not go away. A true feeling never goes away quickly." My Lola told.

The two women agreed with her.

"How do you know that my feelings are true?"

"Isn't the reason you go to LA is forget about your feelings." My grandmom said.

"We're just saying that you shouldn't keep your distance from her because-"

"No. It's better this way. We flirt all the time, laugh and smile, but how am I supposed to know if this is real? I can't control my feelings anymore. It's so hard being around her and not saying everything I want her to hear. I'm trying to act casual, but all I can seem to do is get mesmerized by her eyes." I said tearfully.

"You never thought you'd get this attached, did you?"

"I knew she didn't love me, but I adored her anyway, and I hate it. I hate that I'm still hoping."
