You stared at the gathering audience, scanning the area for your grandfather's face. It was just a ridiculous and petty argument the both of you had yesterday, and it couldn't result in him not attending your graduation ceremony. It was your last day as a senior, a high school student, a child!

Your eyes hesitantly hovered over to Kyoya, who reluctantly stood in the back of the gymnasium. He looked like a skilled murderer that would attack if glanced at. When he caught your worried stare, his frown deepened as he too began to scan the area for your grandfather. With the ceremony starting in five minutes, you couldn't even begin to describe how anxious you were.

"[Name], I hope you're ready to open soon!" the principal called out.

Before you could answer, you felt your cell phone buzz in your dress pocket. Reading the caller I.D., you ran out the gymnasium to answer the call. "Hello? Grandpa--"

"[Name], it's Shamal."

"Oh...Shouldn't you be at the ceremony for Gokudera?" you thought out loud. You noticed Tsuna and the others running towards the gym's entrance. You could tell that they had overslept or something of that sort for them to be this late. The group shouted their greetings to you, and when you made eye contact with Tsuna, you motioned him over. He hurried over to your side, and you handed him your speech just in case you were late. He accepted it with a confused stare but continued to hurry back.

"......I'm sorry, but I need you to come to the hospital right now."

"I have to recite a speech in a minute. What's wrong?" You scowled, a frown marring your features as you paced around the patio. You dug through your mind for a reason why you would be called to the hospital. Your grandfather was fine and should be here any second, unless the worst had happened... but it couldn't, because it was your special day today, right?

"It's about your grandfather--"

"What the hell happened?"

"Let's talk about this at the hospital."

"Shamal! What happened?!" you screeched at the phone.

"Please, I would rather discuss this in person."

You felt your stomach do flips and your heart drown with worry. You were thinking of the worst case scenario, but maybe it was something else. Maybe you were overreacting. "S-Shamal. You better not be fucking around with me."

"[Name]," he sounded stern, annoyed, and pitiful all at the same time. It wasn't good, not at all. "I'm sorry."

You knew just by the way his voice cracked slightly. "I--... No, no. Plea--Please tell... me," your voice was quivering and losing volume with every word said, "tell me...you're lying. YOU HAVE TO BE!"

Shamal noticed that you were losing your mind from the shock. You were in no state to travel to the hospital alone now. No words could console you any longer with actions being the better remedy, and yet he was no where near you which rendered you a loose cannon per say.
