You dragged your luggage off the plane and into the crowded airport. Your mind was clear and focused, a smile gracing your serene face. The reason? A piece of paper in your coat pocket that cleared you from your mental institute. After a whole year of therapy, you had recovered and matured... to a certain degree since you still maintained the habit of being childishly stubborn. At least you didn't hyperventilate in tense situations, stutter, or lose your temper as often.
Your wig and oversized sunglasses disguised you well, slipping by the Vongola drive designated to pick you up. Your heels clacked against the tiled floors, striding by all the security guards set subtly everywhere by Tsuna. You hadn't spoken to him since the fight, but he obviously was still overprotective. As much as he tried apologizing for his behavior, he hadn't changed.
As soon as you walked outside of the airport, you saw a black car with tinted windows and a license plate that you knew well. Smirking, you quickly opened the door and slid into the passenger seat. The car wheels squealed against the pavement as it drove into traffic. You didn't bother looking at the driver as you took off your wig and sunglasses, throwing them to the back of the car. Hearing your phone ring, the driver cursed under his breath in annoyance.
"Hello?" you hummed, placing the phone on your ear.
"DAMMIT! WHERE DID YOU GO?" Gokudera yelled on the other line.
You glanced at the driver, noticing a smirk form on his lips. "I went with someone else."
"After all we did to keep you safe--"
"I am safe. You guys are just too stubborn to see," you retorted as you held onto Kyoya's hand.
"... [Name], when are you going to talk to the Tenth?"
You pouted at the change of topic. "When he keeps his end of the promise."
"What promise--"
You hung up the phone and threw it into the cup holder. You were still angry about the ordeal, but you clearly missed Tsuna. Kyoya noticed your distress and tightened his hold on your hand; the sensation felt nice and resurrected your smile.
You giggled to yourself as you smoothed out your hair, which grew longer during your stay. He noticed your infatuation with your hair, and his hand traveled to your locks, brushing through it and feeling the softness of it. "Do you like my new hairdo?"
"Hn," Kyoya responded, still paying attention to the road.
"What are we going to do about them?" you sighed as you became comfortable in your seat, your legs resting on the dashboard of the car with your heels long gone.
"Herbivores," he muttered under his breath.
You laughed lightly, "Mhhm... By the way, I never got a good look at your gunshot wounds. Can I see them?"
"No," he firmly refused.
Since the both of you hadn't been able to see each other after the whole 'sleeping over' ordeal, you never had the chance to see the scars. Tsuna hadn't gone back on his word and made sure Kyoya never visited the building. What got you through the remainder of your time there were the memories of that night with Kyoya. Now that you were finally together, he was refusing to show you his wounds which annoyed you.
"I'll see it one day when you're taking a shower," you shrugged, crossing your arms.
He glared at you, not saying a word since he could picture you doing that. You would just open the shower door, peek at his chest and then leave... probably take a picture while you were there.
