Chapter 1 - A Wish To Be Reunited

Present time...

Location - (L/N) Residence, Dining Room

Your POV

As I was walking home from school one nice, relaxing Autumn day, I began to think about all the memories I had spending every summer at that stargazing camp. By the time I entered junior high, though, I told my parents that I was too old to keep going there, and that was that.

It was fine, I felt like I was getting too old to go, anyway. The one thing I'll miss about going there is my best friend, Kasumi. I bet she's always too old to no longer attend to the stargazing summer camp. It was meant for kids at a certain age.

"I'm home!" I said as I walked through the front door and remove my shoes.

"Hey son, how was school?" My mother asked as she spotted me from the kitchen.

"School was okay. I got a science test coming up that I am prepared for." I said.

"Is that so? That's my son, though I wouldn't be surprised if you passed it since science is your favorite subject." She said.

"Do I make that obvious?" I asked my mom.

"Yes, you're like your father 50% of the time." She said.

"Yeah, well, I'm going to study now." I said and sat down at the dining room table, grabbed my textbook and began to study. But no matter how hard I tried not to think about it, I couldn't get Kasumi out of my mind.

That evening...

Location - (L/N) Residence, (Y/N)'s Room

I felt like I made some progress on studying. I mainly just focused on the other subjects, I wasn't really that worried about science since I was the best student in that class, according to the teacher at least. And of course, I had to take breaks every few minutes, as well as eating dinner.

Once I was done studying altogether, I went to my room, laid down on my bed and looked out the window. Despite how hard I was working, I was still thinking about Kasumi.

"I wonder if Kasumi is still in the area." I said to myself.

I don't know a way of contacting her, and if I were to search for her, I don't even know where to start looking. I feel like I was beginning to lose hope.

"Maybe it's for the best... that Kasumi and I stayed separated."

Before I knew it, time began to drag and it was starting to get dark outside, and that allowed me to spot something outside: a star. It was shinning bright and it was unlike anything I have ever seen before.

"That's an amazing star..." I said as I kept staring at the beautiful star.

I wonder if Kasumi can see that star, too. And so, I began to wish upon even though it is not a shooting star.

"I wish Kasumi can be here beside me once again, like when we were kids." I said as I start to drift off to sleep.

A few days later...

Location - Ichigaya Residence, Basement

Kasumi's POV

I've grown a lot over the years. After going to that stargazing camp, I took a liking to the stars, and ever since I saw them with my little sister after going that first year, I wanted to find that sparkling and heart pounding moment again.
