[Final part]
Same day...
Location - Hospital Room
Your POV
I am still here in the hospital room as I looked up at the ceiling. I don't know what it is, but somehow... I feel better than ever. However, I was asleep throughout most of my time here, so I have no idea what happened.
At that moment, the doctor came into room, and next to him was Kasumi, who had a few happy tears in her eyes.
"Huh? What's going on?" I asked.
"Well, (L/N)-san, I am pleased to tell you that thanks to the chemotherapy trials, we were able to eliminate the lung cancer." He said with a smile on his face.
"Wait, really? I beat my lung cancer?"
"Yeah, and it's quite impressive if you ask me. After all, you did caught it very late, but your cooperation made a difference."
Kasumi came over, sat down on the chair next to me, and took my hand before she gave it a gentle squeeze.
"I am so glad that you're okay." She said as she tries to her best to hold in her tears.
"Yeah, me too." I said as I caressed the back of her hand with my thumb. "But I had to hang in there, and keep fighting for the both of us, you know what I mean?"
"Yeah, I do."
Kasumi smiled at me as she kept holding my hand, and I kept holding onto hers as we look deep into each other's eyes. Just then, Kasumi leans in and plants a soft kiss on my lips. I kissed her back, and after a while, we broke the kiss as we said...
"Everything is back to normal."
"Yeah, I agree with that."
_____________________________________________A few years later...
Location - Main Street
A few years have gone by since I was cooped up in that hospital room. Since then, Kasumi and I did our best to get our life back on track. We do have a lot to catch up on.
We finished university and we got married. Kasumi and I became managers of this new live house that recently opened up. It was called Live House STAR, and as you can expect, there were a lot of girls who were eager to start a band, much like how Kasumi was during her younger days.
As for the Poppin' Party girls, as you can guess, they've disbanded and taken on different paths in life, but we would stay in touch with them whenever we can.
As we were walking through the streets to get to the live house, Kasumi couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear.
"Oh man, I can't wait to get over to STAR as soon as possible!" My cheerful wife said.
"You say that almost everyday." I said.
"What can I say? I'm always excited when it comes to meeting a new band!"
I just chuckled at that. Kasumi does tend to be excited when it comes to her job now. I bet if the others were here, they would say the same thing as me.
"Hey, let's have a race!"
"A race?"
"Yeah! Last one to the live house has to make dinner tonight. Deal?"
"Heh, you're on."
With that, our story ends with me racing my wife without a single care in the world.
