Kasumi's POV

It has been a few weeks since I learned that my poor (Y/N) has lung cancer. The doctor said that it was entering the late stages, and that only made feel more scared. Because of school, work and rehearsals, I couldn't find the time to see my boyfriend in the hospital, and I would now often come home to an empty apartment.

Even though I often hang out at Arisa's to kill time, but when I told her about (Y/N), she was just as upset as I am.

"So, that explains why we haven't seen him in the last few weeks." She sighed.

"Yeah, and just thinking about it makes me even more sad." I said as I feel more of my tears coming out.

Meanwhile, Arisa was just standing there, frozen in shock

Meanwhile, Arisa was just standing there, frozen in shock. Usually, this is where she would tell me to cut the waterworks and get over it. This time it was different, though.

"You really do love him, don't you?" She asked.

"Yeah. I love him more than anything, and I don't want to lose him. Not now!" I said as I did my best to hold back my tears, but I failed to do so.

Arisa walked over to pat my back gently. While that did help a little bit, I couldn't help but still feel sad.

"Arisa, what if he doesn't make it?" I asked as a sad expression appears on my face.

Arisa sighed as she kept on talking.

"I don't think you're going to lose him." She said. "After all, he is pretty tough, and I doubt he is going to lose to a late stage lung cancer."

That was true. (Y/N) has always been determined to be with me, kept me happy, and he did whatever it takes to make sure I was happy almost everyday.

"Yeah, you're right about that." I said. "I should just be like you and have hope."

At that moment, my cellphone started to go off, and I see that it was the hospital trying to call me. It has to be about (Y/N), so I didn't waste anytime in answering it.

"Hello, this is Toyama." I said.

"Hi, Toyama-san. I am calling from the local hospital, and I got some news regarding your boyfriend, (L/N)-san."

"Really? How is he doing? Is he okay?"

Knowing doctors, I was expecting them to say something bad. However, this doctor was different.

"I am pleased to say that we were able to cure (L/N)-san of his lung cancer."

I gasped as I heard this shocking news.

"Really?! He's okay?"

"Yeah, he is okay. You're more than welcome to come visit during visiting hours."

"Thanks! I'll come as soon as possible!"

I hung up the phone feeling quite excited.

"Did you hear that, Arisa? He's okay now!" I said as they grin from ear to ear.

"Yeah, that is great news!" She said.

"I better get over there! See you later, Arisa!"

"Yeah, see ya."
