A week after the date...
Location - Ichigaya Residence, Basement
Your POV
I had a wonderful time during my date with Kasumi, even though she had to blindfold me and not tell me crap. However, I still enjoyed myself, and I know Kasumi enjoyed herself, too. To be honest, she couldn't stop talking about it. She even brought it up with the other members of Poppin' Party when we all met up at Arisa's.
"And then, that's when (Y/N)-kun decided to get me the blue teddy bear from the amusement park!" Kasumi said with a big grin on her face. While that was true, I probably heard it one too many times.
"You mentioned that before already..." Arisa said as she made a bruh face.
"You said it during lunch, and Arisa told us that you brought it up during class, right?" Tae asked. Wow, I'm amazed that she is still able to talk about it at this point.
"Hehe, I guess I have mentioned it a few times, huh?" Kasumi said.
"More than a few if you ask me..." Arisa sighed.
"But still, it's nice to know that you two had a good time." Rimi said.
"And do you two think might do another date in the future?" Saaya asked.
"I don't know, but I do hope so." I replied as I looked at Kasumi with a smile.
"Aww, I hope so, too!" Kasumi excitedly replied.
She sat down on my lap, and tried to lean in for a kiss. But you can take a guess on who stopped her from doing so.
"Okay okay, save the disney kissing for another time. We should start with band rehearsals now." Arisa said.
"Hehe, right." Kasumi chuckled.
The girls got their instruments set-up, and I sat in from of them as they got ready to perform. I heard that they wrote a new song recently, so I hope it'll sound good.
______________________________________Evening...
Location - Toyama Residence, Kasumi's Room
Kasumi's POV
Ah, today was so much fun. Getting a chance to play our new song in front of (Y/N) just made today even better, and it made me look forward to next time we all get together.
(Y/N) was kind enough to bring me home like he always does. When I got home, I told my family everything that happened. Next, I headed to my bedroom to settle down for the night, but the moment I walked into my room, my phone alerted me of a text message. When I read it, my heart sank to the ground.
???: Hey, I hate to break it to you, but you're boyfriend doesn't love you anymore. He loves me.
Kasumi's text: What do you mean? Who is this?
???: Let's just say I'm someone that (Y/N) can rely on. Now do us a favor and leave us alone. He's mine, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Before I knew it, tears fell out of my eyes, and all I can feel was pure sadness. (Y/N) didn't love me anymore? He found someone much better than me and said nothing. Feeling depress, I planted my face into my pillow and let out a deep sigh.
______________________________________Location - The Station Entrance
Your POV
Kasumi asked me to come meet her at the station entrance. She didn't say why other than it was important for the two of us to meet up. I waited for a while, and eventually, she showed up, but she wasn't her cheerful self.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked as I gave her a hug.
"No, not really..." She sadly replied as she planted her face into my chest.
"What's wrong?" I asked again.
"I got a text from someone last night, and..." She said, pausing her sentence.
"And?"
"That you were dating them." She said and began to sob.
Wait, what? That is the most false thing I have ever heard in a while... I love Kasumi with all of my heart, and I have no reason to leave her like that. But nonetheless, Kasumi continued to cry, and I did what I can do to comfort her.
After a while, she calmed down and looked up at me.
"You're not dating anyone else, are you?" She asked.
"No I'm not. Whoever told you that is probably pranking you." I said.
"Pranking me? Who would do that?" She asked.
"I don't know, but I promise to look into this." I said.
"Thanks, (Y/N)-kun..." Kasumi sadly said and just hugged me.
I hugged her back, and at the same time, I was beyond furious. No one has the right to make Kasumi said and get away with it.
"But..." Kasumi began.
"But what?"
"I feel scared knowing that this is going on, so until this is cleared up, I think it'll do us both some good if we gave each other some space..." She suggested.
Now I am starting to get scared. After all, this is Kasumi. This is something you don't normally hear from her.
"Wait... are you sure about that?" I asked, trying to stay cool and not cry.
"Yes. I can't be around you knowing that this is going on!" Kasumi said before running away.
"Kasumi! Wait, come back!" I called out.
But it was too late, Kasumi was out of earshot, and I just stood there speechless and hurt at the same time. I guess this is what having a broken heart feels like...
To be continued
A/N: That is it for chapter 9, and I hoped you guys liked it... because I didn't, at least towards the end. Who do you think texted Kasumi? Only one way to find out...
See you in the next chapter, and have a good one. :)
