chapter fourteen;
cudthon—
THE next week after that incident was uneventful. Yule, Willow, and I just trained our mana and abilities. I also talked to Aqua from time to time for advice on how to control her better, and she was more than cooperative. I was getting better at using the celestia and also helping out Yule's ice attribute and Willow's wood attribute.
Kallisto became really busy in investigation and patrols. He was so hands-on in discovering how the monster managed to force a first phase transformation to Willow. And he was tightening the security in the borders of the cities, and villages, too.
They were trying not to cause panic, but they also needed to inform the other lands of their Kingdom.
Goodness, imagining a lot of beasts turning like Willow... that would be really the death of not just me, but the whole Cielo.
I badly wanted to help in those affairs. However, I knew that if I pushed Kallisto to let me be involved, it would cause the collapse of the rapport that I was slowly building with him. Still, I'd help if he ever needed it.
Though, it wasn't that obvious in Fatebound up until the war. They managed to conceal everything.
Whereas in Fatebound, those monsters and beasts were purely evil and mad. They weren't like Willow. So, what they were preparing was in the early stage.
If I could, I would like to stop them in what they were doing. However, that would be like walking to the predator's den, knowing that you were just a defenseless rabbit.
So, instead of getting involved and stopping them directly, the safest method would be preventing all of it.
We needed to get ready with our forces, too, like how the Avalon was starting with them.
Meaning, scamming skills were needed to trick some people that I might need to involve to throw what Avalon was doing into a mess before it trickled down to no chance of turning back.
I badly needed to get the dragon now.
And the exciting part of it was to scam Kalli.
I needed him to get me where the dragon was. As far as I know, the dragon was located near the border of the Seventh Kingdom's seas. As of this timeline. 'Yong wala pang nangyayaring Lantern Festival.
It wasn't explicitly stated in Fatebound, nor showed in my dreams. I just connected the dots from all the bits and pieces that I recalled from the novel and what I had written down in my notes when I first arrived here.
