chapter twenty-five;
never waver and fade—
THIRD PERSON'S POV
EVIENNE and Kallisto both launched their attacks towards the gigantic water snake. Eve used her water power, and Yule combined his ice magic, creating a massive ball of ice and water mana. On the other hand, Kallisto used his abyss that was shaped like a sword to pierce through the eyes of the monster.
Juno and Azazel, who were watching the blue and violet glow, stood in shock. The wings made of Celestia were jaw-dropping, and the violet-hued abyss was like the gleam of the heaven's will that they should fight.
Halos lahat nang nakakakita at nanonood sa nangyayari ay hindi makapagsalita at nanatili lang na mangha. They weren't expecting those two colours to shine brightly amid the storm.
They were expecting the red colour's shine. The powerful Abyss and the blessed Celeste. Those two were their hope... but what showed up wasn't hope... it was reality.
A reality that the Sanctuary and Elysia wouldn't go down without a fight.
So, all the mages, knights and people that were frozen started to fight the enemies again, who were still confounded by the unexpected turn of events.
Some were slain. However, a lot went back to their senses, and their own fights proceeded while there was an ongoing intense battle in the middle of the sea.
The gigantic water snake growled loudly as the thunders and lightning doubled. The harsh wind blew all over the place. If Evienne and Kallisto didn't train in the last months, they would certainly be pushed away by the brutal calamity.
However, the two were on their ground. They didn't stop their attack, nor got afraid of the monster that they were facing. Instead, the two were hiding a slight smirk on their lips. Like silently saying that they were prepared for this.
As they went closer to hit the monster that was still gathering its strength using the sea and the hurricane, Samael was both watching them. He couldn't believe that there were people who managed to act immediately in his surprise card.
But he laughed diabolically. "It doesn't matter; you'll both die in the end because no one will escape this storm alive!"
Eve and Kallisto were so near to charging and hitting the water snake; however, both their eyes widened when their decisive attacks didn't reach nor damage the water snake because they were both stopped by someone.
Samael laughed as he looked at Eve and Kallisto simultaneously in his peripheral vision. He didn't want these two flies going near the masterpiece he brought with him when it was still in the process of strengthening itself.
So, he decided to stop them with the power he had just gotten from the water snake.
His arms were crossed as he held both the attacks from the Abyss and the Celeste. He was holding those powers with bare hands, and he grabbed it like it was a fragile glass.
Just like that, the ice power that Eve and Yule created melted. And the abyss sword from Kallisto just broke.
The two jumped back for a bit of retreat as they didn't expect Samael to have such a strong power. Kallisto hissed. He wasn't this strong earlier, but because of the backup that just arrived, the height of his power was now a mountain different than before.
"Shit." He couldn't help but curse as he realized how grave the situation was.
On the other hand, Yule jumped back on the sea as per Evienne's instructions, and Willow created a branch for Yule to go down to, and the two foxes were now standing in the sea beside Azazel and Juno.
