chapter twenty two;
juno and azazel—
"YULE and Willow search here in the North part, and Marlo would be in the South. Whereas, Dacher will cover the West, and Leah and I would do the East." I immediately started the plan with my members and pointed out where they would search on the map.
"What kind of things are we searching for?" tanong ni Dacher sa akin nang seryoso ang ekspresyon at boses. I smiled at him and asked Leah to take out the bracelets I made beforehand.
"These bracelets are special; it contains my celestia or my mana." Nanlaki ang mga mata nila sa sinabi ko. Maging si Leah na hawak-hawak 'yong mga bracelet muntik na 'yong mabitawan.
"My L-Lady... you might collapse!" Leah reacted horrified, and I cackled at her.
I knew they were worried because aside from calming the Abyss, Celestia shouldn't be used carelessly; even if it was a power that was above normal magic, there were still consequences; overuse of it could result—in the worst-case scenario—death.
However, I knew very well about my Celestia, especially when Aqua was there to guide me on how to use it and make sure I wouldn't be harmed in manipulating it. So, they didn't really need to worry.
"No, don't worry about me. I knew myself and my Celestia well. So back to the topic," I stated in seriousness, and they didn't really have a choice but to agree with me as I distributed the bracelets to them.
Dacher and Marlo were both amazed as they put the bracelet with three beads. It seemed simple, but I was sure that in the eyes of the owls, they were seeing a glittering blue water aura. It probably looked like the sea with the glow of the bioluminescence.
"These beads would react if you are near something called corrupted explosives."
"I heard that from the elders before... the bombs that could cause mana holders to explode?"
Napasinghap si Leah at nanlaki ang mga mata ni Yule sa sinabi ni Marlo. Tumango naman ako para kumpirmahin 'yon.
"Those bombs contain deadly mana, or mana poison. Kapag sumabog 'yong explosive na 'yon lahat ng nasa paligid na kayang gumamit ng mana or may kaunting mana sa katawan, nakakaramdam ng matinding sakit at init... at kasunod no'n ang pagsabog ng katawan nila."
The owls seemed calm because they had already known those kind of things as they were beasts, and they were also affected by it because of the massive amount of mana that they have.
Willow seemed afraid but was putting up a brave front as she looked determined, and Yule looked confused but terrified. Samantalang si Leah, hindi na makapagsalita sa pamumutla.
"But... it'd be expensive to make such things. Why would they have that at this prestigious festival? Aren't they asking for the Saint's fury?" nalilitong tanong ni Marlo habang nakakunot ang noo.
"Tumpak! These people behind the explosives aim to declare a start of conflict here in Elysia. And probably wanting to weaken the power that Elysia has. After all, the main target of these explosives is the mages and those who are renowned as Elysia's power."
Pakiramdam ko mahihimatay na si Leah sa naririnig niyang usapan namin ngayon, pagkatapos 'tong mga kasama ko ngayon patango-tango lang.
"Is it one of the Kingdoms?" mahinang tanong ni Dacher.
"Who knows..." I shrugged although I precisely knew the answer to that.
I didn't really explain all the details to them and just told them what I said to Yule and Willow before: That... what I see in my dreams come true. So, I just kept it vague that I didn't fully see the future but just a glimpse of it.
