"Well.." Kurapika was about to explain.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I have to take this." I said running off as my phone went off.

"Hello?" I answered once I got outside.

"You need to come back!" Mom yelled.

"Can't, and I won't. Im with Kurapika I got to go." I said hanging up and going back inside.

"Sorry about that, I'll see you guys later." I announced as I ran off.

I can't stay here for much longer. Mom is going to get someone to bring me back to her.

"(Y/n), is everything alright?" Kurta asked as he ran after me.

"Yeah. I think I'm just getting tired of York New, I'm thinking of going somewhere else." I lied.

"I have some business to finish up, after that I'll be right by your side, I promise." Kurta promised

"I'll stay until then." I muttered.

"It shouldn't take more than a month." Kurta explained.

"Okay, thanks." I replied.

"Aren't you going to get that?" Kurapika asked.

"It's nothing important." I replied.

"Okay.." Kurapika mumbled.

"You coming in my apartment?" I asked as Kurapika thought for a second.

"Yeah why not." Kurapika agreed.

We walked into the apartment and just sat on the couch.

"(Y/n)." Kurapika stared at me.

"Kurta?" I asked as we moved in a bit closer like before.

This time I doubt he'll pull away. I can't get my hopes up though.

"You want a milkshake?" Kurta asked as we were so close.

"Uhm yeah sure." I mumbled as he walked away again.

"Kurta." I suddenly spoke without thinking this through.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Uhhh, never mind." I whispered.

"Alright, the milkshakes are almost done." Kurapika added.

"Okay!" I cheered.

Kurapika brought the milkshakes in as we watched whatever was on tv. We didn't even watch it, we were just talking.

"So, somebody has been texting you lately, what's it about? If you don't mind me asking of course." Kurapika's questioned.

"It's really not important. It's just spam." I lied.

Kurapika looked deep into my eyes, he always knew when I was lying.

"It's alright if you don't wanna tell me, you just look upset about it." Kurapika admitted.

"What we're you going to say earlier?" I asked changing the subject.

"I don't remember sorry." Kurapika avoided my question.

"That's alright! Let's go see the others! I feel like running around again like the hunters exam." I exclaimed.

"You still have energy from that?" Kurapika asked.

"Yeah!" I replied.

"I have to work tomorrow, you can go without me." Kurapika explained.

"It wont be the same without you, I'll just wait for a day you have off." I announced.

"It's alright, go have fun." Kurapika smiled.

"No, I'm good. I'm quite tired actually." I said stubbornly.

"I best be leaving then, Goodnight (y/n)." Kurapika locked eyes with me.

"Kurta, can you stay another night?" I asked.

Kurapika pulled me into a hug and squeezed me so tight.

"I'm sorry (y/n), I wish I could." Kurapika whispered in my ear as he was about to let go.

"Why can't you?" I asked pulling him back into the hug.

"I'll tell you later. I'll see you tomorrow okay? I promise." Kurapika promised.

"Okay, bye Sunshine." I smiled, trying my best not to cry.

"Goodbye." Kurapika left faster than the wind.

Before I went up to bed, I noticed Kurapika left a piece of paper on the table.

It was everyone's numbers including his! I'm glad he left this.

I picked up my phone and dialed Leorio's number.

"Hello?" Leorio answered.

"Leorio! Can you talk real quick?" I asked.

"About?" Leorio replied.

"What Kurapika was going to tell me." I answered.

"He didn't tell you yet?" Leorio seemed shocked.

"No, is it bad?" I asked.

"I'd rather have him tell you. I'm sorry (y/n)." Leorio replied as he hung up.

Well that was odd. Maybe I should just wait. I walked to my bedroom and fell asleep forgetting my phone on the couch.
