Chapter Nineteen

Five Years Later

Nothing new has happened. I'm still a big star. But, my baby is turning 5 years old now and I'm actually on a break. I'm writing for my new album and I'm in my hometown instead of somewhere else last time. Today, I had a break from song writing and my son and I were at home.

"Mommy! Mommy! Can we go to the park today?" S/n asks and I smile.

"Of course baby. Anything for your birthday. Go get dressed, mommy is going to get dressed too." I get up as he runs to his room to get dressed. I chuckle a little bit and made my way to my room. As I'm changing, I hear a knock on my door.

"Mommy, I'm done changing! Are you ready?" He asks and I smile.

"Almost done. Just wait out there sweetheart." I say.

"Okay!" I hear him slide against the door and a plop as he sat down on the floor. I changed quickly and once I was done, I put my hair into a ponytail leaving a few strands of hair in front of my face. I open my door and s/n falls back onto the floor.

"Ita. Mommy that hurt." He says with a pout.

"I'm sorry baby. But you know you shouldn't be doing that. Don't do it again alright?" I say and he nods. He gets up and grabs my hand dragging me towards the door.

"Let's go! Can we have oji-chan Tobio and oji-chan Shōyō come with us too?" He asks as we walk outside.

"Let's go visit them first. If they have time, then I'm sure they will. You know how busy they are with being on Japan's National team." I say as I strap him into his car seat. I hop into the front seat and began driving to Tobio and Shōyō's house. I had the radio playing and looked back to see my son singing the songs that came on. Some he knew the lyrics by heart because I listen to them too but some he didn't know and he began to mumble.

We had reached their home and I parked the car. I got out and got s/n out of his car seat as well. We walked up to the door and s/n knocked on the door. We waited a bit before we heard the locks begin to turn. The door opened and Shōyō had opened the door with a red face and hair tossed everywhere.

"Oh, looks like we came at a bad time, huh?" I say and look away.

"Huh? Oh, you mean my hair! Yeah maybe a little but it hasn't made it-" He began before I cut him off.

"I don't need to know the details. Just, please stop. Not in front of s/n please." I say and he nods.

"Sorry but come in. I'll let Tobio know your here and we'll get changed." He says and let's us in. We walk in and s/n sits on the couch as I sat next to him. After some rustling and bit of bickering, Tobio and Shōyō came into the living room.

"What is it?" Tobio says all grumpy.

"Oh don't be so grumpy with me. Your lovely nephew wanted to come see you guys, on his birthday. Go on s/n, ask your oji-chans." I say and he nods.

"Oji-chans, would you like to go to the park with mommy and I? You guys can teach me volleyball since I'm older now!" He says and I smile. I look over to the boys and it looked like those words had struck their hearts.

"Of course s/n! Anything for you! I'll teach you to be the best wing spiker there is!" Shōyō says.

"Like he's gonna be a wing spiker, he's obviously going to be a setter! I'll teach you everything you need to know on being a setter!" Tobio says and I chuckle.

"My son will be whatever position he wants to be. Now let's go. We don't have all day." I say and shove them out the door. We get into my car and drive to the park. On our way there, all they can do is talk about how they're going to teach him how to be the best wing spiker or the best setter. As soon as we made it to the park, they hopped out taking my son along with them and showing him how to play volleyball. I watch from a distance and smile.
