Chapter Seventeen

Two Months Later

The past couple months have been a ride. Not in a sense that taking care of s/n is hard, he's actually a quiet baby. He's rarely cries and is just all around always sleeping. What more do I expect? We were about to head back on tour but I had made an appointment for s/n to get his vaccinations before we left. Daichi had the day off so he went with me today as help.

"Thank you again Daichi. You're a great help you know." I say as we walk out of the hospital.

"Of course! I'm one of your best friends, I'm always gonna be here to help you." He says smiling and I blush. His phone began to ring and he answers it.

"Hello?"

"Daichi, where are you? I got out of class early so I thought you'd help me out with studying." It was Sugawara.

"I thought that was later today?" He says.

"Well, it was but since I got out early I had some time open up so I thought we could meet up earlier if that's alright."

"Yeah, just give me a little bit. I'm with Y/N. She-"

"Why are you with her? I thought you said she left already."

"I thought she did too but she called me. She needed some help with her baby so I thought I'd help her. It's not a big deal Suga." I sigh and began to apologize.

"I'm not making it a big deal. I just thought, as my friend, you would stay away from her too." My eyes began to tear up and I look away.

"Look Suga, just because you aren't with her and aren't here to help doesn't mean we won't. We, as in the team and everyone else she has to support her. You're the one that decided to make her choose between you and the baby thinking she'd choose you. That's not how that works. I'll be over in a bit. We can talk about this later. Bye." Daichi says.

"Alright fine. Bye." Sugawara says and hangs up. Daichi looks at me and wipes my tears away.

"Don't cry. He's not worth it. At least not right now. I know he's gonna come back in the end. You were the only one who understood him and still are the only one." I nod and he helps me get s/n into the car. We get in and he drove me back to the hotel. It was silent up until I broke it just before we made it to the hotel.

"You know, I love him. I'd do anything for him. I'm just waiting for him is all. I don't want my son to grow up without his dad. I want Kōshi to be apart of his life. I'd like him to be apart of mine as well but if he finds someone better, then I'll let him go. Until then, I'm waiting for him. We are waiting for him." I say and get out of the car as soon as we made it to the hotel. I got s/n out and Daichi helped me bring him up to my room. As soon as we got there, I gave Daichi a hug.

"Thank you, for everything Daichi-san. Make sure he's eating properly and getting a good nights rest. I know I shouldn't worry about him but I can't help it." I say and pull away. He kisses my cheek and I smile.

"I'll make sure of that. For now, focus on your baby. He needs you more than anyone else." I nod and thank him once again. He left and I got s/n out of his baby carrier. I held him close to me and looked at him. He opened his eyes and stared for a bit before smiling at me. I smile too and sigh.

"I'll protect you with all my life. You're my everything." I say. We lie down on the bed and lay s/n next to me. I let him grab onto my finger and all. He's only a couple months old so I know he's not going to be able to do much. I just smile as he falls back asleep and a knock was at my door. I gently have s/n hand let go of my finger and I get up to open the door.
