Author's Note: -
I have literally just realised that I have gone from writing from Gerard's POV to third person. I would begin editing from here but there are about four chapters ready to be posted from this point and I think it will: a) be a pain to do, and b) change the feel of the story.
I am sorry for the confusion x

The two shared a few more cute dates over the next week or so, each one ending in a steamy make out session leaving them both wanting more, but not quite ready to reveal that to each other yet.
During working hours, they pretty much kept themselves to themselves, sharing the odd lingering look here and there that would only be noticeable to themselves. They had decided not to reveal their relationship to anyone yet; Gerard wanting not to seem unprofessional by hooking up with a colleague after only a matter of weeks at the school. Frank was honestly fine with that, enjoying the secrecy of their relationship making it all that more exciting.
Lindsey was still an issue for Gerard though. He had on more than one occasion now, explained that he wasn't looking for a relationship at the moment; that he just wanted to concentrate on his career, but was happy with their friendship. At first she seemed to accept that, claiming she was only joking around with him and looking for a casual hook up if he was ever up for it. When he politely refused, she simply shrugged and left it at that. Gerard was so relieved, thinking that was the end of the whole Lindsey debacle. However, by the end of the week, she had started up her relentless flirting with him again. He told himself that she was just this way with everyone, but when Frank told him that she'd been to see him and smugly said that she would get with Gerard one way or another, he felt the need to warn him off her.
"You're just gonna have to lay it out straight to her Gerard" he sternly told him. "She is not giving up on this, and she knows you're a push over. No offense" he added.
Gerard was slightly offended, but didn't say anything in his defense.
"I have told her Frank" Gerard huffed as they sat in a local diner after work. "She just doesn't get the fucking hint."
"Look" Frank smiled. "I know you're incredibly polite and whatever, but with girls like Lindsey, you've gotta just stand your ground. Just tell her NO."
"I will. I will" Gerard confirmed. "I'll tell her tomorrow at after work drinks. You are coming right?" he sounded a little panicked. "I don't want to be on my fucking own with her."
Frank just laughed and shook his head at how nervous Gerard was over everything. "I'll be there baby" he said, making Gerard smile at the use of the word 'baby' that he had never said before. "You know I'll look after you."
The following day, Gerard made it through the day without too many uncomfortable encounters with Lindsey. They all headed to the bar and chatted about their plans for the weekend. Lindsey sauntered over to Frank and Gerard and placed a kiss on both of their cheeks.
"Here's my two favourite guys" she grinned.
"Hey Linds" Frank replied casually, sensing Gerard tense up instantly.
He just nodded and Lindsey looked at him for a little longer than she did Frank, holding his gaze while she seductively bit her bottom lip.
Gerard cleared his throat and asked if anyone wanted anything from the bar.
"I'll come with you" Lindsey eagerly replied, following Gerard and placing her hand on the small of his back at she walked beside him.
Frank bristled. He would happily just tell her to fuck off. In fact, he would happily make out with him right in front of her just to get the message across loud and clear. He knew Gerard would be mortified at that though, and he would never embarrass him like that. He was quickly falling out of love with Lindsey though, who he had always been so close to at work. She was behaving ridiculously though. She had no dignity at all, continuously throwing herself at a man who had made it clear he wasn't into her.
