Mrs Welsh sat opposite Mikey and looked at the newspaper article on her desk with an open mouth. She had sat and listened intently to this man who had insisted on a meeting with her.

He had explained that he was Gerard's brother and the situation with him and Frank. He then went on to describe Lindsey's actions and the way she had blackmailed Frank into leaving.

Suddenly the Head picked up her phone and sternly told the Admin Manager to come in. When she did, Mrs Welsh went full-on headteacher mode and demanded to know why a member of her staff had clearly not had a full background check. How had Lindsey 'Ballato' managed to bypass the system and be offered a job? How many other members of staff could have shady backgrounds she wanted to know?

It wasn't this young woman's fault, and Mrs Welsh was clearly just venting her frustration, but she did have a point.

"Leave it with me Mr Way!" The Head said as she saw him out. "And can I please be assured of your utmost discretion about this?"

"You can be assured so long as that woman is reported for falsifying her identity!" he insisted.

"Of course," she promised. "And please ask Mr Iero to contact me if he still hasn't found work. We were all sad to see him go."

Mikey walked out of school feeling pretty pleased with himself. He scanned the corridors as he went in the hope of avoiding his brother. He managed to and soon found himself driving home with a smile on his face.

He hadn't told Frank or Gerard of his findings yet, not wanting to get their hopes up in case it didn't all go to plan, but he was now more than confident, so continued on with the next stage of his mission:

Getting Gerard and Frank back together.

The following evening, Mikey arranged to meet Frank at a local bar. He and Frank had become quite friendly, so he knew he wouldn't suspect anything. He had also asked his brother along too – half an hour after Frank.

"Hey Mikey" Frank smiled as he entered the bar and found the taller man already sat at a table.

"Hey Frank" Mikey replied. "How you doing?"

"I'm ok" he replied with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "How's Gee?" he instinctively asked.

Mikey just shrugged and Frank understood.

They both ordered a beer and Mikey couldn't keep the smile off his face.

"What's got into you?" Frank asked.

"Well" Mikey began. "I've had a very productive week."

"Oh yeah?" Frank replied curiously.

"Tell me Frank!" Mikey grinned. "Do you know a Miss Foster?"

Frank thought a little and shook his head. "No. Why?"

"Are you sure?" Mikey teased.

"Mikey! What the fuck are you talking about?"

"Lindsey Foster? You don't know her?" Mikey continued

"No Mikey. I don't,"

"Oh but you do!" Mikey laughed.

Frank huffed, getting a little tired of this stupid game. He drained his beer and just looked at Mikey and shook his head.

Mikey took the printed out article from his pocket and started to unfold it. He flattened it on the table in front of Frank.

"Lindsey Foster!" he proudly declared.

Frank leaned forward and read the headline, before his eyes moved towards the photograph.
