Elena, Grace and Stefan were stood around Giuseppe Salvatore grave all looking down with different expression as they all started digging through the gravestone in hopes to find Emily Bennett's grimoire when the red headed girl came to a stop letting out a small chuckle and stated, " Not many girls can say they've done this. Hey, at least we can cross off this off of our bucket list El"
Elena shook her head with an amused smile on her face as Stefan looked up at the two girls with a look of adoration on his face as his eyes lingered on Grace before he continued digging up the grave with the red headed girl holding a flashlight down the hole they have digged.
Suddenly, Stefan and Elena stopped when their shovels hit something hard causing it to make a loud bang causing Grace to crouch down to get a better look as she helped Elena out of the ditch. Stefan moved the dirt out of the way to get a clearer look at the coffin before he started to open it up, "is that it?" Elena questioned with a frown on her face standing next to her sister.
"Yeah" Stefan called out as he grabbed Emily Bennett grimoire from inside his fathers coffin before closing the coffin shut as he turned to face the twins before opening up the grimoire as the three of them were gathered around looking through the grimoire only for them to be interrupted.
"Well, What do you know!This is an interesting turn of events" Damon sarcastically spoke with a look of hurt and betrayal on his face as he clenched his jaw narrowing his eyes at his brother who had promised he'd help him get Katherine back.
Stefan speed out of the ditch and stood protectively in front of Grace and Elena as he shook his head with an apologetic look on his face and informed his brother, " I can't let you bring her back. I'm sorry, Damon" the raven haired vampire nodded his head slightly and harshly hissed, " So am I. For thinking for even a second I could trust you"
"Oh, you are not capable of trust. The fact that you're here means you've read the journal and you were planning on doing this yourself" Stefan stated making Damon scoff in disbelief as he resorted, " of course, I was going to do it by myself because the only one I can count on is me. You made sure of that many years ago, Stefan"
Damon let out a heavy sigh as he turned his attention to the red headed girl with a look of hurt on his face as he stared at her intensely before he continued speaking, " But you... you had me fooled" Grace looked down at the ground as she was hit with an indescribable wave of guilt at the fact she had lied to Damon and that she had doubled crossed him siding with his own brother.
Elena reached her hand out squeezing her sisters hand as she knew Grace never wanted to hurt the raven haired vampire but she couldn't let him release all those vampires in the tomb. The red headed girl wanted to protect her friends and family and knew the vampires would want revenge by going after the founders families that was involved all those years ago to take down the vampires.
