My Fault

Bella's POV

We waited...

And waited...

"Why isn't he healing?" Alice's panicked voice evaded the whole house.

I frowned, I wish I knew the answer.

I stared at Edward's beaten up body, He didn't deserve this... This is all my fault.

"This is all your fault! If it weren't for you, my brother wouldn't be like this." Rosalie's I-am-crying-even-though-I-can't-cry voice spat at my face.

I knew that any moment now, Uncle Aro and the rest will explode so I gave them a signal saying that I got this.

To be honest, I really wanted to rip her head off and personally burn her self proclaimed 'hot' body, but I'm not that vicious... and yeah, it pains me to say this but she's got a point. A huge one to be exact. Did She finally become smart? Maybe.

"Hey Carlisle? Any suggestion?" My mouth hung open as my son, Anthony spoke up. He cares.

The others were also shock, but Anthony didn't mind them he just continued staring at Carlisle, who was indeed speechless.

After regaining his composure, Carlisle finally spoke up, "I've never seen anything quite like this before... never in my three hundred years of existence. But I bet a certain poison was inserted in his veins." He finished sadly.

"Why don't we ask Roer? He's one of them, right?" All eyes turned to Jasper. He's right. I can't believe I haven't thought about that. I nodded my head, at this moment I really wanted to walk over Jasper and high five with him, but the house's current atmosphere was serious and I didn't want to break it.

So instead of giving a high five I stood still, "What are we waiting for? Let's go get Roer."

Alice volunteered for the task and immediately went outside. But just when we thought that everything will be alright, a scream filled the air. It was from my daughter! Quick as flash I was outside.

My eyes widened at the sight before me, my daughter was cradling an unconscious Roer, while Alice was holding back a furious Emmett.

"What the hell happened?!" That question was from Rosalie. Well duh?

After hearing Rosalie's voice, Emmett seemed to have relaxed. Alice let go of him and Rosalie quickly made her way towards him.

"What happened?" It was my turn to ask. The question was directed to my daughter.

She faced me, I noticed the pained expression She had. Then it all made sense. That's why Roer was reluctant to kill Edward, and why he didn't fought me back, "He's your mate." It wasn't a question, but a statement.

She nodded, "But Uncle Emmett beat him up." I felt her anger rising. Using Jasper's gift, I calmed her down. I didn't want the Cullen's to have another problem.

"But you also helped!" Emmett bit back.

Reenesme shot her gaze to Emmett, "He wasn't facing me by then. And He stopped beating you up, are you that heartless?" Her reason was valid, but not fair.

"Darling, don't blame your Uncle... He was just so absorbed in fighting Roer." I told her in the most soothing voice I could muster.

She frowned, "Why was he fighting him in the first place?" Her voice sounded confused.

I didn't want to tell her the truth. But I had to, "He's one of them. You're mate is one of Victoria's fighters, I told Emmett to guard him for me." I told her honestly.

Her eyes widened, "God! I'm so sorry uncle. I didn't know." She let go of Roer and ran towards Emmett, "Are you okay?" She hugged him, pushing Rosalie. Rather roughly, if I might say.

Emmett laughed at her actions, "It's okay kiddo." He assured her, "What brings you here anyway?" The question was directed to me.

Oh crap! The plan! But Roer is unconscious, how are we supposed to get the information that we need?
