Our Secret

Bella's POV

"How?!" Emmett asked, a little bit loud.

Closing my eyes in frustration, I breathed out, "Lower your voice."

He immediately looked around, seeing that he got everyone's attention, "I mean...  how could you be that harsh?!"

I inwardly face palmed myself. What an idiot!

Feeling stupid, I grabbed Emmett's shoulder and dragged him towards a secluded place, to secure that our conversation would be guarded, I placed a soundproof shield around us.

"You never change, do you?" I asked feeling an involuntary tug at my lips.

"Nope." He said, popping the letter p.

I sensed that Emmett wanted to continue our conversation, just a while ago.

"So... yeah, vampires can be pregnant." I Started saying.

"How?" He asked curiously.

"Well... you see, I conducted my own research about Victoria's army. " I started to say, but he interrupted me.

"All by yourself?!" I nodded my head, "That's super cool! How were you... "

I raised my hand to stop his blabbering, "Are you still interested, or not?"

He nodded his head and mumbled a 'sorry'. Now that he's quiet, I continued my story.

"I found out that two of their leaders, has the Maternal Touch. An ability that causes the person being touched by the bearer, to give birth not less than a week. That's why there's a lot of them, that's why only a few humans are missing here in Forks." I explained slowly and carefully.

Emmet furrowed his eyebrows, "Didn't you absorb the ability?"

I sighed sadly, "That's one of the problem... they have a shield, a shield that prevents me from absorbing their abilities."

Emmet frowned and patted my back, "That's okay little sis... we will burn their asses!" He said cheerfully.

I smiled an assuring smile, but deep inside I'm worried... for I know that Victoria's army, is just as advantaged as us.

"Remember... Don't tell anyone about the things that I told you." I told Emmet.

He nodded his head. Good boy!

"So let's get going." I muted the soundproof shield around us, and ran towards the Cullen house.

As I plopped at the sofa, Alec suddenly appeared, "Where have you been?" He asked worried.

"I had a talk with Emmet." I Answered truthfully.

I expected him to at least ask, what the topic was... but surprisingly he didn't, instead he lifted me up and sat me at his lap.

"I Love You." He asked, out of the blue.

"I Love You Too."

As I said those words an infamous scent filled the air... Edward.

BOOM!

The door was banged.
