Second Chapter
"She Left"

Edward's Pov

FLASHBACK:
"Hi Edward! " she greeted me.
I didn't budge.

"Is there a problem? you seem uneasy. " she said.

"Yes Bella, there is something I really need to talk to you, something serious."
I said pain in my voice.

"What is it Edward?" she asked.

"we're leaving. we're going somewhere "

"What? why?  is this because of what happened yesterday? " she asked pain in her voice.

"yes. we cannot take chances Bella. what Jasper did was the last straw!  I can't let Jasper or anyone in my family, or even me hurt you". I said.

"but Edward, you know the only thing that could hurt me is losing you. please don't do this to me. " she was crying.

"I'm sorry Bella, but I made my decision. and that is to leave. but before we leave could you promise me one thing? "  I asked.

"anything Edward "

"I want you to live your life, go to college, have kids. just live as if I didn't exist."

"but ..."

"goodbye Bella "

And with that, I ran deep in the woods, she mumbled something, but I couldn't care less, she could have been cursing me, really,who could blame her?

It's been a year since we left.

Alice haven't been seeing Bella in her visions for months.

I really wanted to go back, to check on her, but that'll break the promise I made.

but still, I had a good reason.

and so I'm here, on my way to Forks.

I can't wait to see her.

"hello? anybody home? "

I knocked at the Swan residence.

"Hey! man there's nobody living there! "

a guy shouted, from the streets.

"What are you talking about? "

I approached the guy.

"you see, Chief Swan left after his daughter left. "

"his daughter left? "

"yeah, nobody knows where, but it's been a year."

"do you happen to know the reason why she left?"

"uhm... yes. you see my father is one of Chief Swan's best friend, he said her daughter left because she was depressed. She just left him a letter and left. "

"thank you"

"anytime man! "

I can't take it, she left Charlie because of me. I ran back into our house, and stayed in my room all afternoon.

as I was leaving, I noticed a piece of paper in the living room table.

I almost passed out when I discovered that the letter was for me... from Bella.

I read it,

Dear Edward,

        I know that it'll be a long time since you'll be able to read this, but I hope you'll regret that day you left me. a week after you left, I decided to leave, I won't tell you where though, that'll spoil everything. I do hope that we'll meet again, and when that happens I'll make sure you'll regret your life.

I read the letter again and again, what did she mean about meeting me someday? she couldn't be serious, right?

but thank God, this letter only proved she didn't commit suicide,

but one thing

bothers me,

where did she go?
