The Potter household was decorated for Christmas, that much was beyond clear. The whole front of the house was strung with twinkling fairies and holly and other Christmas things. As soon as we entered the house, it was like Christmas had thrown up everywhere.

"I hope you didn't touch my room," I commented, scrunching my nose.

"I think it's quite nice your mum puts so much effort into decorating for the holidays," Remus said with a small smile.

"At least someone in this house appreciates me," Mum said as she started for the kitchen. "I put up a tree in each of the bedrooms. No lights, unfortunately, because I'm tired of hearing you lot complain about it!" She disappeared behind the kitchen door and I rolled my eyes jokingly.

"Come on, Moony, I'll show you to the guest room," James said.

"What if I wanted to show him," I huffed, crossing my arms and pouting my lip dramatically.

"Then we'll go together," my twin grinned, stepping toward me and wrapping his arms around my legs. I was thrown over his shoulder and he and Sirius laughed.

"Jamie! Stop!" I laughed, kicking my feet.

"Away we go!" James laughed, making his way up the stairs. Sirius and Remus followed.

"James, put me down! Sirius, Remus, help! Make him stop!" I couldn't stop laughing, and neither could Sirius as he watched me, a wide grin on his face. Remus smiled softly at our antics.

We finally stopped outside one of the doors upstairs, a spare bedroom. James opened the door and carried me inside, throwing me down onto my back on the bed. I looked up at him, laughing still.

"Remus, this is where you'll be staying," James said, turning away from me and watching Remus put his things down. "Our rooms and the other spare room, where Sirius stays, are in this wing too. My parents are at the other end. We can show you the rest of the house later, if you'd rather get settled in right now?"

Remus nodded and I sat up. "I'm just two doors down, on the left, if you need me," I smiled. I lead the way out of the room, the other two boys trailing behind me. I walked to my room, opening the door and looking over my shoulder. "You two had best not corrupt him all break," I threatened. "He's my friend too."

"Of course not," James grinned, ruffling my hair as he walked past. I stuck my arm out and shoved him down the hallway while he laughed, pushing open his bedroom door. James disappeared behind his door and Sirius made his way down the hall. I watched after him for a moment before closing my own door and set about unpacking.

It wasn't long before there was a knock on my door. Assuming it was Remus, I set down the book I had just taken out of my trunk and walked to the door. I opened it to Sirius standing in front of my door, glancing down the hall toward James' room.

"Sirius, what-"

"Can I come in a minute?" he asked quickly. I nodded, stepping aside. He entered the room and closed the door behind him.

"Sirius, why-"

"I need to talk to you." He glanced toward the door before looking back at me. His eyes bore into mine, the same mischievous glint still there. They flickered down to my lips for a brief second before they were back on my eyes. I took a deep breath.

For a moment, everything was in slow motion. Sirius Black, the boy I'd had a crush on for what felt like ages, stood in my room. It wasn't like it was a new thing, though. He'd been in my room before, with James. But this was the first time he was alone. He stepped closer. Our breaths mingled as he stood so close, I could smell it again. The woodsy shampoo that was signature to Sirius Black.

"Sirius, I-"

Before I could utter another word, he leaned in so close our noses almost touched. My breath caught in my throat as my words faded away. His lips were so close to mine, one of his arms curling around my waist. His other hand came up to hold the side of my face, his eyes staring deep into mine. They, once again, flickered to my lips.

"I'm going to kiss you right now, if that's okay," he whispered. His breath tingled against my lips. I nodded slowly, and he leaned all the way in, his lips pressing again mine gently.

Everything felt right in that moment. Our bodies fit a perfect mold together. His lips on mine warmed my entire body and twisted in the pit of my stomach. His arm around my waist felt like it belonged there. I felt like I belonged with him. He was everything I ever wanted.

The kiss broke too soon, by a knock on my bedroom door. "Jocelyn, are you still in here?" James. I looked at Sirius, wide-eyed.

"You have to hide," I whispered. He nodded and pointed to the closet. I nodded and he walked as quickly as he could, while still being quiet, over to the closet and opened the door. "One second!" I called to James, waiting for Sirius to get inside before walking to the door and opening it enough for James and I to see each other. "Do you need something?"

"Mum's starting dinner. She wanted me to let you know, so you can finish unpacking and come downstairs."

"Okay. I'll be down in a bit. Thank you." He nodded, eyes narrowed in suspension, before walking off. I closed the door and let out a sigh. Sirius slid from the closet.

"Well that was close," he breathed out with a mischievous grin.

"Shut up," I muttered, feeling my cheeks start to heat up. Sirius once again pulled me against him, pressing his lips to mine. I allowed myself to melt into him, having waited so long for this.

"I think I'm in love with you, Jocelyn Potter," he murmured after reluctantly breaking the kiss, his forehead resting on mine.
