Chapter 23

Sara’s POV

“Where are we gonna find those in LA?” He asked and I rolled my eyes. When we left the house Mitch asked me where I wanted to go. I had told him that I wanted to see some llamas cause I’ve always wanted to see them in real life, I know I’m weird, and then Mitch looked at me weird.

“The zoo.” I simply said and he sighed.

“We are not going to the zoo. Where else do you want to go?” I sighed, pouted and started to think. An idea came to mind and I gave Mitch an evil smile.

“How about the mall?” I asked and his eyes went wide. I heard him gulp and I stared into his eyes. He knew that he was going to be the pack mule. He knew that I wouldn’t change my mind another time so he sighed in defeat.

“Fine.” He said as the light turned green. He turned towards the mall and I smiled in victory.

“You’re lucky that I love you.” He said and I laughed slightly. Hey what can I say? I like shopping. I know, shocking, but I’ve always been half tomboy and half girly so…what could you expect? After a while we got to the mall, found a parking space close to the door and got out of the car. I smirked at Mitch and began walking backwards in front of him with my hands behind my back.

“Can I get something this time though?” He asked as we walked in.

“Of course.” I said and looked out of the corner of my eye to see a few guys looking at Mitch with pity. I began to walk with Mitch and grabbed his hand. I began to drag him towards my favorite store as he tried to get away.

“Damn your iron grip!” He said and I laughed.

“How can such a little thing be so strong?” He said as I began to drag him along the ground. I dragged him into the store, dragged him to where all the other guys who’s girlfriends were shopping were sitting and he stood up. He sighed, got out his wallet and handed me his card.

“See you in a little bit.” I said with a smile on my face and looked at one of the guys that was sitting down who was covered in clothes.

“Oh hi Clark!” I said and he waved at me. I looked at Mitch, gave him a kiss and walked off. After ten minutes I came back with bags and two hats that I was carrying in my other hand. I walked over to Mitch who was on his phone, I looked over at Clark to see that he was covered in cloths as I saw his girlfriend walk away.. I got the hat that I found for him and put it on his head. He jumped, took the hat off and looked at it. He looked at me with a confused look on his face.

“It’s a hat I found for you. It goes with your outfit so keep it on got it?” I said and he nodded. I put the other hat on my head and walked away. I spent the next hour trying on cloths and taking the bags to Mitch after my arms got full. We eventually left and Mitch followed next to me with him trying to balance all twelve bags as we walked through the mall towards gamestop. After we got in there we walked around as I got the games he told me to get and we left after twenty minutes.

Mitch’s POV

I felt like a pack mule as we carried everything to the car. This day was costing me a fortune but anything for Sara. I still feel like she doesn’t trust me completely and I will do anything to make her happy, even if it means that I will have a huge bill at the end of the month

We loaded everything into the trunk and when I got in the car I reached up to take off the hat Sara had bought for me earlier. When I touched the rim I heard Sara clear here throat. I looked at her and put a smile on my face, I saw her eyebrow raised and her arms crossed.

“Oh..heh heh sorry…I forgot.” I brought my hand away from the hat and she smiled. I started the car and drove out of the parking lot with a sigh. We spent the rest of the day going to places around the city and messing around.

“Slug bug!” I heard Sara yell and she hit me, hard.

“Agh! Why did you hit me!?” I yelled and she started to laugh.

“It’s a car game,” She giggled, “slug bug is where if you see a beetle, the car not the bug, then you punch the person next to them.There is also…” She trailed off and looked around. Her eyes lit up when she saw a cadillac

“Cadillac whack!” Sh yelled and gave me a charlie horse in the thigh. I yelped slightly and pressed my lips together to muffle my scream. I looked at Sara wide eyed.

“Oooooooowwwww…” I said slowly and in pain, she just laughed and smiled. I looked back at the road as the light turned green and drove off. We were going to the concert, of course she didn’t know, and there was fort five minutes till the concert started.

“Then there’s dodge.” She said a minute later and I looked at her for a split second then back at the road.

“What’s dodge?” I asked.

“Dodge this!” She yelled and backhanded me straight in the chest. It had knocked all the air out of my lungs but I had stopped at a light right as she slapped me. Many she can hit hard. I heard her laughing and after a minute I had regained my breath and a few seconds later the light turned green. I drove off as I took deep breaths.

“Dodge, slug bug, and Cadillac whack are the only car games I know though.” Sh said cheerfully.

“You are an evil girl.” I said as we got close to the sprint center. I looked at her and in the split second I did I saw her mouth drop.

“W…we’re…we’re going to see DIERKS BENTLY!?!?” She screamed in excitement as I parked in front of the sprint center. Since we had gotten here early we were able to get a good spot. There was a slight line and I saw a crowd of people heading our way.

“Surprise! I wanted to congratulate you on getting the job by taking you here.” I said with a smile as I was looking at her. I unbuckled and got out, a second later Sara jumped out and I could tell she was trying to hide her excitement and failing miserably. She ran over to my side and grabbed my hand.

“Wait…” Her smile disappeared, “the tickets were sold out.”

“I got them to hold the last ones for us.” I said and the smile instantly returned too her face.

She then dragged me towards the ticket line while yelling thank you repeatedly.
