*a few days later*

Mitch’s POV

I had woken up to see Sara asleep in front of me. Every night for the past week I had been reliving every day since I meet Sara in my dreams. I was a huge jerk to her…but she’s still with me. I then sat up and looked at the clock. It read 5:00 a.m. I looked at Sara to see her sleeping peacefully. I thought back to a few nights ago when I was woken up by Sara’s sobs. She cried into my chest after I had wrapped my arms around her that night. I was brought back to reality when she began to yell and flail around.

“Please! Please don’t take him!” She yelled and I tried to wake her up but she wouldn’t.

“Please just let me save him! Please let me go! Why are you letting them take our son!? Why Mitch why!?” Next thing I know her fist had hit me hard in the eye. I caught my self before I could fall off the bed. I held my eye and yelled in pain. I heard Sara gasp. I looked at her to see  her looking at me in concern.

“Oh my god! Mitch, what happened?” She asked in a concerned tone.

“You punched me in the eye while you were freaking out in your dream. What was happening in your dream anyway?”I asked as I got of bed and walked towards the bathroom. Sara got out of bed and followed me.

“I don’t remember…all I can recall is that there were two people taking a baby and you were holding me back.” She said as we got to the bathroom. When we went in I looked i the mirror and my eyes widened…well one of them widened while the other tried to open.

“Oh my god…I did that?” Sara asked. She then touched my eye and I winced.

“Ow! How about not touching the eye that you tried to kill?” I said and looked at her. She laughed meekly and took a step back. I looked back at the mirror and touched it slightly.

“I’ll just…go get some ice.” She said. After a few seconds I heard the door open and close.

“How am I going to explain this? Our flight heads out today.” I thought out loud. I felt something nudge my leg. I looked behind to see Jess sitting there. She tilted her head to the side in confusion. I walked over to her and picked her up.

“It’s ok little pup.” I said. She then placed her paw on my eye and I winced. She took her paw away from my eye and whined slightly. I placed her down and the door opened. Sara walked over to me and handed me an ice pack.

“Thanks. Now what do we do for when we go to the airport…and when we et home?”

*****

The cab pulled up to the airport and we went in. I adjusted my sunglasses then I helped Sara with the bags. We walked in, went through security and eventually got into the terminal after checking in our bags. We got on the plane and took our seats.

“How’s your eye?” Sara asked as we sat down.

“It hurts and it’s throbbing. Other than that it’s fine.” I said as I took my sunglasses off. I heard a shutter sound go off and a few minutes later, after I looked around the cabin, my phone vibrated. I pulled it out as the safety demonstration was being given by a stewardess in front of the cabin. I unlocked my phone to see that it was a twitter notification saying that I was tagged. I opened twitter to see a picture clearly showing Sara’s face and mine.

‘Oh my god what happened to @Bajancanadians face!?’ I read. I showed it to Sara and she froze slightly then shrugged it off. I turned off my phone as a stewardess was coming around and I put my sunglasses back on.

“Oh god…now your fans will think I’m abusive…” Sara said. I sighed and put an arm around her and she looked at me.

“Don’t worry about it. We’ll explain what happened later ok? It’s fine.” I said as I looked into her eyes.

“Ok…but that still doesn’t change the fact that I feel guilty about it.”
