______________

Frank had arrived at your door for your first date with a small bouquet of roses in hand. Frank had been an acquaintance, a friend of a friend, for a while and you were totally surprised when he nervously asked you out one day. You were totally flattered that someone so gorgeous and talented had noticed you, and for him to want to take you out on a date on top of that? You could hardly believe it.

"Is there anywhere you wanted to go for dinner?" He asked as you walked to his car.

"Umm, there's this one place that's cool," you offered as he opened the door for you and you slid in to the seat, smoothing our your black dress.

"Wanna punch it in the GPS?" he asked handing you his phone. When you glanced at it, he had left your text message open and you spotted the little heart emoji he had added next to your name and you couldn't help but smile.

You punched in the address and he followed the instructions as you rode quietly to the restaurant. When you pulled up Frank's face lit up.

"Wait is this it?"

"Yea, it's a zombie themed restaurant, but it's super cool," you explained as you both got out.

"That's so rad," he grinned as he took your hand and you went inside.

When you were seated at your table and you both had your drinks ordered, Frank looked around at the decor wide eyed.

"Is it like this year round?" He asked.

"Yea, I love coming here because Halloween is my aesthetic and it's always like this."

"I love Halloween too, it's my birthday actually," Frank replied.

"No way!"

"Yea, check this out," he said as he held out his knuckles showing they spelled out Halloween.

"I've never noticed that in all the times we've hung out!" You laughed.

You continued to chat about your shared love of Halloween, zombies, horror movies and everything creepy until your meals were finished and you both had finished your milkshakes, both having chosen the red velvet with oreo cookies had a drizzle that looked like blood on top.

Frank's hand had held yours from across the table for a good portion of the date. You couldn't help but blush when you realized how intently he listened to you when you spoke, his caring eyes watching you, and the way he laughed at your stories.

Soon you were pulling back up in front of your house, and you very much did not want the evening to end.

"Hey Frank," you started.

"Yea (YN)" he asked hopefully glancing over at you.

"You wanna come in and watch a movie or something?"

"Yea, that would be awesome," he said with a soft smile.

Frank followed you in and you smiled at the flowers that you had put in a glass of water on the table before you left and settled in to the couch. He sat down next to you, but not too close, as you found a movie on tv to watch.

As you watched it and talked about the movie that you had both seen a few times, you could feel yourself sliding closer to Frank. Soon he stretched out and wrapped his arm around your shoulder. You settled in against him and rested you head against him. He then rested his head on top of your and you sighed happily. If you had looked up, you would have seen the smile on his face as well reflecting how lucky he felt to finally get a chance to be alone with you and finding out you were even cooler than he could have ever hoped.

When the movie was over it was getting late and Frank announced he should probably head home. You got up and followed him to your door.

"I had a really great time," you smiled up at him.

"Wanna do it again some time?" He asked, trying to sound casual, but his heart started thumping in his chest, worried you would say no.

"I'd love to," you smiled and he grinned in response. You reached out and wrapped your arms around him in a hug and he pulled you in just as tight. When you pulled back and looked up at him he decided to take his chance.

He leaned down and his lips met yours. He smiled into the kiss as you kissed him back. He marveled at how soft your lips felt against his, how right it felt to hold you against him. He couldn't believe how quickly he was falling for you, but he didn't care. All he wanted was this moment to last forever.

When you did eventually have to pull back for air, you smiled up at him again. "Yea I'd really love to do this again."

"I'll call you tomorrow," Frank smiled. "Night (YN)," Frank said as he turned and headed out the door.

You were still practically swooning as you leaned back against the door and spotted the flowers on the table. You couldn't believe that someone as cool as Frank was interested in you and that he wanted to go out with you again soon. But if you had happened to look out your window, you would have seen spotted Frank in his car doing a very dorky celebratory dance over the fact that you seemed to like him just as much as he liked you.
