"Mom says to get your butt downstairs and help her with dinner" says Goro. "Hold on, I'm writing down something...." he rolls his eyes. "You're a special kid" I put down the pencil. "I wish dad could see that... I swear. I grew out of school at the age of six. I know every weapon technique out there. I can speek literally every dialect in Hyrule. Yet he still treats me like a baby!" Goro sighs. "Look, dad's just worried about you. Your his youngest and...." I don't let him finish. "I'll go help with dinner, obviously that's all I'm good for"

"Kokiri...."

I've already stormed out the door.

-------------------------------------------

"How was your day today?" asks Goro, serving himself some food. "It was fine, your's" asks the Ranch Hand. "Fine" This is how dinner has been going for the past five minutes. "Kokiri, manners" says mom as I wipe my food on my sleeve. I slip a few rolls into my pocket. "May I be excused?" I ask, standing up and starting to walk away. "Sit back down, dinner's not done yet" says dad. "Well, we're not really talking about anything of interest and I'm trying to desifer an old book, so... bye..." I walk out of the room. "Sit. Back. Down." says dad. I can tell he's mad. "Kokiri" Ruto warns. "Get back here, or your not going to Hyrule Castle" says mom. "I already wasn't" I call, storming up the stairs.

----------------------------------------------

"Not a damned word" I growl at the others.

"Why don't you two get along?" asks Wind. I think about breaking the table. But Malon would kill me. "She doesn't listen to me.... she never has. I don't know why" the others look up at me. "Maybe you should talk to her" he points out. "Last time I tried to talk to her, she through a book at my head" Goro bites back a smile. "You yelled at her" says Ruto. "She snuck out, what else was I supposed to do?" I ask, seething now. "Maybe ask her why she did it" comments Hyrule. "Send Malon to yell at her" says Twilight. "I think that you were to soft on her" says Warriors. "I would have slapped her" agrees Legend. I glare at both of them. "If he ever hits one of them, I'll kick him out of the house" says Malon. "Why?" asks Four. "Because he's literally a super soldier and he would end up breaking one their bones" she answers. "I've had enough of this conversation, I'm going to go talk to her" I comment.

"Get ready for a family show down. These battles are worse then his with Ganondorf" says Ruto, smirking. "Shut up" says Goro, rolling his eyes.

I walk upstairs, trying to keep my cool, and knock on her door. "Kokiri, unlock the door" I say, exhausted all of the sudden. There's no answer. "I will break down your door. Open. The Door. Now" She finally unlocks the door, and then sits back down at her desk, and starts writing again. "You gonna explain what happened back there?" I ask as she starts eating a stolen roll. "I excused myself from the table" she shoots back, continuing to write. "We have guests" I insist. "And these are my friends. People that I think you'd like if you got to know them. But you instead act like you want to push everyone away" She shrugs. "I have a friend. Arthur and I were going to explore the unknown areas of Hyrule Castle this weekend"

"Maybe it would hurt if you had some more friends" I point out, leaning against the doorway. "The youngest one, sailor, he's your age, maybe a little older. You'll like him. And Wild, despite your comment from earlier" she glares at me. "When are you leaving?" That's all she asks. Not, how long are you staying not, when will you come back. Just, when are you leaving. "Watch your tone" I growl back. "Doesn't answer my question. Father. When. Are. You. Leaving?" I clench my fist. "You know what? Fine. Go to the castle. You can go next week. I just wanted you to get along with them. Your brother and sister...." She stands up suddenly. "Listen, Link. I'm not you, I'm not mom, I'm not my siblings. Get out of my room.... NOW!"

"Apologize, now!" I almost yell. "For what? You've never been the dad that I needed, or wanted. You were always off with Auntie Zelda and Uncle Marth. Saving the kingdom while I learned and trained on my own" a tear slips from her eye. "I never wanted to leave" I insist. "Yeah you did" she spits back. "I don't want to fight with you. Not while they're here" She looks at me and then starts to laugh. "SO THAT'S IT! HUH? YOU LOVE THEM MORE THAN YOU LOVE YOUR OWN DAUGHTER?" I stumble back, appauled. "I don't favor them over you..." she doesn't let me finish. "YOU'VE NEVER LOVED ME! BECAUSE I'M NOT THE PERFECT DAUGHTER YOU WANTED! BECAUSE I'M NOT RUTO"

"I DO LOVE YOU! BUT YOU PISS ME OFF EVERY TIME I COME HOME!" I yell back. "Believe what you want. I don't care. But the fact still stands. I'm your father, and your grounded" I slam the door behind me.

"WHY DON'T YOU LEAVE AGAIN? I HOPE YOU NEVER COME BACK!"
