It was cold. Lana stretched widely, hoping to find the heat from Severus' body, or Severus himself. She found nothing. Lana sat up quickly, perhaps too quickly for someone who had just been asleep a second ago, the room spun as she tried to focus her eyes on what she was seeing.
"My room?" she said to herself, since she was alone in her own bed.
Lana would have thought the events of the previous night were a dream, if she weren't still dressed in one of Severus' long black sleeping shirts.
Lana had half a mind to go storming down to the dungeons, to ask why she was moved, why he had let her shower there if he were just going to kick her out, and most of all, why did he kiss her. Was this his way of showing her he regretted everything that happened?
Instead of continuing her speculations, Lana put on some of her sleeping shorts, given the fact she was previously dressed in nothing but an oversized shirt, and began her walk to Severus' classroom, since she knew he was the type of lunatic who didn't sleep in, even during the holidays.
Lana didn't bother knocking as she flung open Severus' door. She was surprised to find the reclusive man was not alone. Dumbledore, McGonagall, and Moody we're all engaged in some hushed conversation with Severus. The group turned in unison to face Lana.
Lana caught a glimpse of herself in one of the glass potion bottles. A mess. She was a bloody mess. Her hair was unbrushed, her clothing disheveled, her top was ten sizes too big and her shorts were four sizes too small. Lana straightened immediately.
"Professors! I had no idea- I'm so sorry I should've- I'll be going now." Lana said before turning on her heel, and walking out of the classroom, shutting the door behind her using a bit of wandless magic.
Lana threw her back against the brick wall, nearly hyperventilating from the embarrassment. First, she gets kicked out by Severus, then on her way to confront him, she runs into loads of staff members while wearing Severus' shirt. Lana had never wanted to be back in France so bad.
The door opened. Lana was so preoccupied by her embarrassment, she hadn't noticed the teachers loudly finishing their meeting. No doubt trying to warn Lana of their departure to save her from further embarrassing her self. It was no use.
Moody was the first out, he looked Lana over with his artifice eye and laughed at her before limping away. McGonogall was next, she patted Lana on the shoulder and smiled. She was always very reassuring. Lastly Dumbledore emerged from the potions room, and of course immediately turned to Lana. "What a grand entrance, Miss Darcy." He smiled before following Minerva and Moody out of the dungeons. Once she was sure the other Professors had made it out of the dungeons, she started toward the stairs.
"Lana?" Severus called. His voice sent shivers down Lana's spine. He didn't sound upset. Just sorry.
"I'm sorry." Lana said, stepping down from the first stair and turning to face him.
"That was certainly...something." he lifted his lip into a smirk.
"...really sorry.".
"I thought it was, amusing. No need to be sorry." he explained as he ushered her into his classroom.
Once they were inside, and the door was shut behind them, she turned to him and asked, "Why did I wake up in my room?".
He answered immediately. Like he didn't need to think on it at all.
"I wasn't sure you wanted everyone knowing yet, so I took you back to your room. I'm sorry." He said, caressing the side of her face. "I've never regretted anything about you, or us.".
He was so reassuring. Lana wasn't sure if she deserved this. After all she's put him through.
"Really?" she said, relieved to be in Severus' good side again. Or whatever you could call it.
He nodded. Severus hadn't been one to hold his tongue when he was angry. This helped Lana believe his sincerity.
"I've certainly missed you, Severus, and I am so sorry, for ever-" he cut her off.
"No more apologies. It's in the past." he explained, taking Lana into his arms and holding her close. She melted from his touch. It was intoxicating.
She looked up into Severus' eyes, silently thanking him, before thanking him with a light kiss. Lana pulled back quickly, flashing a smile before leaving to return to her bed. It was Holiday, and she planned to sleep in every day of it. Severus grabbed her hand.
"Back to bed." she smiled.
"Can. Can I come?" he asked, unsure.
Lana nodded, and took his hand to lead him back to her room. Although he obviously knew the route. She was a bit anxious to have him there though. She hadn't had time to clean it, and it was much smaller than Severus' chambers. Severus was the judgmental type.
When they got to her room, he didn't say a thing about her clutter. Relieved, Lana fell back on to her bed, and patted the side inviting Severus. He smiled.
Severus summoned a pair of night clothes. The same shirt as Lana, and plain black sleeping pants. He changed in the bathroom.
"I suppose I could of done that last night." Lana blushed.
"No. I prefer you in what you're in now." Severus said before curling up in Lana's bed. He barely fit. Lana laughed at the sight of Severus cramped in her bed, which was meant for her significantly shorter body. He jokingly placed a hand around her neck and squeezed lightly. He let go almost immediately but Lana had hoped he'd keep at it a little longer. But she settled for his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him.
"I have missed you." he said into her hair, as he held her from behind, before falling asleep in record time. Lana couldn't agree more, and fell asleep almost as quickly.
