The Hogwarts students were eager for the arrival of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students. The girls from Beauxbatons were rumored to be as beautiful as they were clever. The boys were said to be, less intelligent, but just as beautiful. Overall, Beauxbatons was known for their elegant and hardworking students. Now the ladies from Durmstrang were said to be tougher than nails and meaner than badgers. The gentleman were regarded as anything but gentle. The whole lot were said to be extremely disciplined, and shared a liking for dark arts. Beauxbatons was a friend to Hogwarts, while Durmstrang was a fierce competitor.

The Hogwarts students sat in the great hall, waiting for the other schools to arrive, when suddenly the doors sprang open.

In came, well, one could say, the Beauxbatons students floated in, showcasing some sort of ballet dance. It was elegant and mesmerizing. The girls conjured butterflies which came out of their sleeves, and the boys hoisted them up into the air as if they were weightless. The whole student body, boys and girls were invested in the performance. Lana agreed with the other Professor's, the entire display was beautiful.

Dumbledore greeted Madame Maxine, then she took her seat at the staff table. Moment after this exchange, another group came bursting through the door.

The Durmstrang students came thundering into the great hall, marching in two or so unified lines. The students stomped along, banging their staffs onto the ground, causing small sparks, then they preformed some sort of, acrobatic stunts. Once the army of angry looking students, dressed like they were preparing or the harshest of winters reached the end of the walk way, which seemed miles long, a student stepped forward. Crouching low to the floor this student sent up a giant flame bird of some sort. Their entrance was certainly, unique Lana thought.

Lana watched as Filch nearly had an aneurysm as he walked along the walkway, examining the burn marks and scuffs left by the Durmstrang students, and butterfly carcasses left by Beauxbatons.

All three schools were gathered in the great hall, chattering among them selves. Dumbledore greeted the other headmasters giddily, obviously excited to explain the procedures and formalities, and what not.

Dumbledore moved toward an object he had placed in the center of the front of the room. Once he reached the large shape, he addressed the room.

"Your attention, please!" his voice echoed through the great hall, and the students went quiet.

"I'd like to say a few words. Eternal glory. That is what awaits the student, who wins the triwizard tournament, but to do this, that student must survive three tasks. Three, extremely, dangerous tasks."

One could hear the uncertainty, and fear in Dumbledores voice, which was something you didn't get from him often. Lana picked up on this, which made her wonder even more, why they were holding this stupid tournament.

Dumbledore covered the things Crouch had, unfortunately he couldn't make it himself, a family crisis of some sort. Dumbledore turned his attention back to the large shape in front of him, and waved his wand over it. Slowly, the outer shell melted away, to reveal a cup of some sort.

"The Goblet of Fire. Any one wishing to submit themselves to the tournament, merely write their name upon a piece of parchment, and throw it in the flame before this hour on Thursday night. Do not do so lightly. If chosen, there's no turning back. As from this moment, the Tri-wizard tournament has begun."

The students returned to their excited conversations.

"Those Beauxbatons girls are certainly beautiful.", Lana said in an attempt to make conversation with McGonogall. To her surprise, this struck up conversation with someone else.

"Hmf. They seem full of it, if you ask me." Severus responded.

Lana giggled. "Yes, but not quite to the extent of the Durmstrang students."

"I would have to agree." He said in an amused tone.

That night was a rather peaceful one. Lana slept well, now that she and Severus had talked without him yelling and her crying, then also yelling. 'Twas a good night.

After her only class of the day Lana headed towards the divination room. They were working on tea reading in her third year class, which was one of Lanas least favorite subjects, but she had nothing better to do.

"Lana!" Someone called out. Their voice bellowed through the hall. Lana knew who it was immediately.

"Freddy." She smiled. "Hello boys!" She called back, now stopped in the middle of the hall, waiting for the twins to catch up.

"Lana. Lana!" They said as they tried to catch their breath. George started.

"We've got a, brilliant idea!"

"And we need your help." Fred added.

Lana raised her brow, questioning what they had gotten themselves into this time, and how she could possibly help. She waited for them to continue instead of shutting it down immediately.

"Okay. We know it's crazy.." said Fred.

"...and you're a fancy Professor now, but you've got to help us." George continued Fred's thought.

"But since the ministry decided to stick their nose where it shouldn't be, and muck up our chances of eternal glory and what not, we figured we'd take matters into our own hands."

"With an aging potion!" George exclaimed.

Lana began to shake her head, but the twins weren't willing to give up just yet.

"Come on Lana! We know you can do it!" George encouraged her.

"I mean, you literally dated a potions Professor. I'm sure you can do it." This statement earned Fred a nasty glare from Lana.

"No. Absolutely not. I'm not helping you, essentially break the law."

"Oh come on Lana! For old time sakes, aye!" Fred pleaded and pushed Lana playfully. Before Lana could give her answer, there was a loud "ahem" from behind her. She recognized the "oh shit" look on the twins face, and instantly knew who was behind her.

"It's Professor Darcy now, isn't it?" He said sharply. The twins got out of there as quickly as possible, leaving Lana alone to deal with Severus. This was their payback for not helping them with the potion. She made a mental note to make their lives miserable.

"Oh, so you're through with ignoring me?" She said, in a playful tone, still believing the two were on better terms, even if he was in a foul mood.

"I wasn't ignoring you. That would be childish." He said as he narrowed his eyes at Lana. She was never going to hear the end of how childish she was in the past, it was getting quite old.

"Whatever you say. Is there something you needed, Severus?"

"Yes. And I would appreciate it if you could keep things professional, Professor Darcy." He said through clenched teeth.

Lana fought the urge to argue, and bit her tongue. She was in the wrong after all. She kept telling herself this anyways.

"Albus requested our presence in his office." Was all Severus said before spinning 180 degrees dramatically and storming off. So much for the formalities.

After rolling her eyes as hard as she possibly could, Lana began to follow Severus, and eventually caught up to him. He glared down at Lana and wondered what she thought she was doing.

"What do you think you're doing? He asked in a condescending tone.

"Going to the Headmasters office, Snape."

This caught him off guard. She only called him that when she was particularly crossed with him. She knew how much he hated that name. Instead of continuing with the bickering, they walked to the headmasters office in silence. Lana had a bad feeling about the meeting.
