Chapter V

After escaping Cato Neimodia on the Stinger Mantis, Blake rushed to the cockpit, hoping to find Yang. But as she reached the cockpit, Yang was nowhere to be seen. It wasn't long before Cal joined Blake.

Blake: Where's Yang?

Cal: I don't know.

Blake: What?

Cal: The Rebel Fleet is scattered across the Outer Rim after the Empire attacked the Rebel Base on Hoth. I lost contact with her after I got captured. The Alliance you built is on the run and I lost an entire squad attempting to capture the Baron. But now that you're here, we can take the fight to the Empire. A major strike against the Empire is all we need...

Blake: I'm not Blake Belladonna, Cal. I'm a Clone. I was born in a vat to take her place.

As Blake said this, Cal was skeptical.

Cal: Is that what Vader told you?

Blake: Yes.

Cal: I don't believe it. No one can clone a Jedi. It's been tried countless times and they all failed.

Blake: Well Vader did. You don't know what I went through on Kamino.

Upon hearing this, Cal immediately remembered how Kamino was the place where the Clone Troopers were created.

Cal: Kamino? If you could provide the Alliance with information on the Empire's cloning facilities, we can launch a full scale attack on...

Blake: No! I told you, this isn't my fight! I'm not Blake! I'm not the Blake Belladonna you knew!

Cal: You might not think so, but I know you're Blake Belladonna. Clone or not, the Force is strong with you. That much is clear.

Blake: I...I just need time. I just....

As Blake said this, Cal saw something familiar in what Blake was currently experiencing. In Blake, Cal saw the same fear and uncertainty he faced himself after surviving Order 66. After a moment, Cal sighs.

Cal: I don't know what you went through on Kamino. I don't know what Vader told you. But there's one thing that's clear to me. The Force is strong with you, clone or not. That's why I'm going to help you find yourself.

As Cal offered his help, Blake's mind fell on the memories of her past life. She could see the harsh and forgiving training she endured under Darth Vader. But she also saw the time she spent with Yang, both during her time as Vader's apprentice and after. She thought of the times they spent together on missions and the bond they shared. Despite her own doubts, Blake's love for Yang kept her going. Cal could sense that Yang was in her thoughts. 

Cal: On the night after you died, Yang mourned you. I told her that she was in your final thoughts. I told her that in all the darkness you had within you, there one bright spot. One beautiful thing you held on to, even at the end.

Cal didn't need to say what that was. Blake knew that it was Yang that Cal was referring to. Ever since she escaped from Vader, Yang was constantly on her mind. She could hear her voice calling out to her. She could feel her embrace. Cal could sense this and offered comfort to Blake. 

Cal: I know a place where you can find yourself. 

As if on instinct, Blake's mind fell on a familiar setting. She could see an ancient enclave surrounded by trees. 

Blake: Tython....

With that, the Stinger Mantis set a course for the ancient Jedi homeworld of Tython where Blake would attempt to find herself and clear her mind. Meanwhile on Kamino, Darth Vader had contacted Boba Fett with a job for him. As the seasoned Bounty Hunter arrived at the Cloning facility, Boba Fett inspects the damaged done by Blake. 

Boba: She's got a healthy head start. 

Darth Vader: Find the woman and bring her to me. She will follow. 

The Sith Lord then shows Boba Fett a holoprojection of Yang. As the Bounty Hunter studies his target, he speaks with Vader. 

Boba: And what if she catches up to me before I deliver her to you?

Darth Vader: Then you are ordered to subdue her. I want them both brought to me alive and unharmed. No disintegrations. 

Boba: Tracking Xiao Long won't be too difficult. But if the Clone catches up to me, it's going to get messy. And with the power she has behind her, I'll need some more firepower. I'll need a squadron of Stormtroopers. They won't be coming back. 

Darth Vader: The Empire will provide whatever you require. 

As Darth Vader said this, he presented not only multiple squadrons of Stormtroopers, but squadrons of Terror Troopers. At first, Boba Fett was unimpressed by this. But when a large Terror Walker approached Boba, the Bounty Hunter couldn't help but feel intimidated. Despite this, Boba Fett maintained his composure. 

Boba: They'll do. 

Darth Vader: You have your mission, bounty hunter. Do whatever you must to find and capture Yang Xiao Long and bring her to me. The Clone will follow if she sense that the woman is in danger. 

Boba: As long as I get paid, the woman is yours. 

Darth Vader: You will have your payment upon the delivery of Yang Xiao Long. 

With that, Boba Fett sets out on his job to hunt down Yang Xiao Long and deliver her to Darth Vader. As the Bounty Hunter leaves Kamino, Darth Vader is already preparing for not only the arrival and containment of Yang, but the inevitable confrontation with the clone of Blake Belladonna.
