As Blake reached the corridors leading to the upper levels of the cloning facility, she could sense Darth Vader's presence. When the elevator reached it's destination, Blake pressed forward.
Cal(Comlink): Don't go in there alone! The Dark Lord is waiting for you!
Blake: She's close, Cal, I'm not stopping!
Cal(Comlink): We're losing your signal, Blake! Stay put! I'm on my way!
Blake: I'm done arguing Cal! I have to do this!
Soon enough, Blake lost all contact with Cal. Blake pressed forward, looking for Yang. Darth Vader's breathing could be heard echoing throughout the corridors.
Blake: Yang! Yang!
As she wandered through the smoke-shrouded corridors, she was suddenly attacked by what appeared to be Vader.
Blake: WHERE IS SHE?!
Darth Vader said nothing as he pressed down on her. Blake managed to fend off the assault, but was struck by a sudden and violent Force Vision before he could counter, allowing his attacker to slip away. As Blake recovered, she pressed forward.
Blake: Vader! Come out! Yang!
As Blake moved forward, Yang's voice could be heard.
Yang(Voice): Who are you?
Blake: Yang, it's me!
Yang(Voice): You're a monster. A thing.
Blake: Yang! Please!
Cal(Voice): You're Vader's puppet. Just a body filled with the memories of a dead woman.
Around Blake, the machinery was being crushed. Suddenly, Vader attacked her once more.
Blake: Speak! What have you done to her?! Why have you taken her?!
Blake was able to fend off Darth Vader's assault. But like the first time, she was struck by a sudden and violent Force Vision, allowing Darth Vader to escape into the shadows. As Blake recovered, she readied her Lightsabers.
Blake: Face me, you coward!
Tortured by her own mind as she wandered the corridors, Blake pressed forward until she found herself being Force Choked by Darth Vader. Blake fought off Vader's attack, but a Force Vision of Darth Vader stabbing her in the back before the Emperor caused her to her knees. When Blake recovered, Blake continued forward before reentering the larger interior spaces of the spire. As Blake looked around, the figure of Darth Vader appeared on one of the tank platforms.
Darth Vader: I knew that it was only a matter of time before you returned. Now you will surrender to me or you will die here where you were created.
Blake leapt up to engage Vader, but the armored figure evaded him. Several Sith Training Droids soon joined Vader's side. They took on the form of various figures from Blake's past. Three took on the form of Cin Drallig, Sora Bulq and An'ya Kuro: the three Jedi Masters Blake hunted and killed in Darth Vader's name. Another took on the form of Ilia Amitola, the young Jedi Padawan who had fallen to the Dark Side, only to be redeemed by Blake. Another took on the form of Adam Taurus, the Imperial agent who acted as a friend and mentor to Blake before being cut down by Blake in her mission to Vader's Castle. The final two took on the form of Ghira and Kali Belladonna.
Darth Vader: You must learn to hate what she loved.
Enraged by Darth Vader's attempt to break her resolve with psychological warfare, Blake charged at Vader, cutting through the Training Droids with ease. As they exchanged a series of blows, Blake fires a torrent of Force Lightning onto Vader, but the Sith Lord absorbed the Lightning on his Lightsaber and redirected it back onto Blake. Darth Vader then jumped onto the next platform. When Blake followed him, he was surrounded by aberrant Clones of Blake Belladonna.
Darth Vader: Kill her.....
The Clones attacked Blake without hesitation. As Blake fought the Clones, Blake could sense that all of the clones were virtually the same as him—not only because they possessed the same skills as him to varying degrees, but also because they had inherited the same Force potential and identity crisis as her. Though Blake had always professed to knowing that she was a Clone of the original Blake Belladonna, she had secretly harbored hope that this was not the case. However, faced with what were essentially alternate versions of herself and Blake Belladonna, Blake was forced to truly accept the fact that she too was a Clone. Eventually however, Blake destroyed all the other Clones with a Force Repulse so violent that it reduced his opponents to bloody mist. After killing the Clones, Blake once more began fighting Darth Vader.
Blake: Your training made me strong enough to escape you, not obey you.
Darth Vader: Yet here you are. My most deadly creation.
Blake: You lie! You never wanted this. You can't have. Once Yang has been rescued, your facility will be destroyed. You with it, if there's any justice.
Darth Vader: There is no justice. Only power.
As Blake and Darth Vader dueled, Blake attempted to break through Vader's defense, but the Sith Lord maintains a strong defense.
Darth Vader: You are a fool to face me alone.
Blake: You'll have to kill me next time!
As Darth Vader pressed down on Blake, Blake was able to hold her own against the Sith Lord.
Darth Vader: Blake Belladonna could not kill me. What hope do you have?
Blake: I defeated you before. I will do it again!
As Blake managed to break through Darth Vader's defense, the Sith Lord casually defended himself with his Lightsaber and then telekinetically threw Blake off her feet as the platform bucked. Blake rebounded and continued her attack. Even as they fought across the top level of the tower, Blake sensed that Vader was testing her, and attempted to keep a handle on her emotions. When an opening came, Blake moved to take it, only to be hit by a vision of an apparently lifeless Yang Xiao Long in her arms. Blake's momentary confusion allowed Vader to knock him down and quietly withdraw. Blake pursued him, preparing for the final battle.
