Blake managed to reach the topmost spire without further incident, and found Vader standing silently before an enormous ovular window. Blake ignited her Lightsabers, seething in anger.
Blake: Where is she?!
Darth Vader stepped to the side, revealing Yang. The two exchanged shocked stares before Darth Vader gripped Yang in Force Choke.
Darth Vader: Bow before me or she dies.
Watching Yang being slowly strangled by Darth Vader broke Blake's heart. Not wanting to see Yang in pain, Blake stepped forward and tossed her Lightsabers aside. She then bowed before Vader.
Blake: I....I will do your bidding. Just let her go.
Satisfied with Blake's submission, Darth Vader releases Yang from her grip.
Darth Vader: Find and kill Cal Kestis and his allies. If you refuse, she dies.
As Darth Vader slowly approached Yang, Yang began slowly crawling to one of Blake's Lightsabers.
Darth Vader: You will return to me and give yourself to the Dark Side. If you resist, she dies. And when your training is complete, you will hunt down and execute the Rebel Leaders. If you fail, she dies!
Suddenly, the sound of a Lightsaber igniting was heard. Darth Vader turned around to see Yang holding one of Blake's Lightsaber. As Yang moved to attack, Darth Vader dodged Yang's attack and blasted her through the tower's window with a powerful Force push. She landed on the roof of a power generator a considerable distance away, apparently dead. Believing Yang to be dead, Blake fell into a blind rage as she used the Force to retrieve her Lightsabers and attack him. Darth Vader blasts Blake out of the tower as well. She landed on the same power generator that Yang had been blasted onto, and immediately rushed towards her to ascertain her condition. Before she could reach her however, he was intercepted by Vader, and the duel began anew.
Blake: I'LL KILL YOU!
Darth Vader: Rise above this! She means nothing!
As Darth Vader pressed the attack, Blake parried the Sith Lord's strikes. As they fought across the rain-slicked generator roof, Blake realized that this had been Vader's plan all along; to use Yang's death to bring about her own fall. Unleashing her full Force abilities on her former master, Blake attacked Vader with relentless rage.
Darth Vader: Her death gives you strength. Embrace it.
Blake: YOU WILL DIE WHERE YOU STAND!
Darth Vader: If you wish to join the woman, so be it.
Blake then blasted Darth Vader onto a power generator with a powerful Force Push. She then unleashes a powerful torrent of Force Lightning on Darth Vader, slowly electrocuting him. Vader then gripped Blake with the Force and pushed her back. The Lightning attack caused significant damage to his suit. Seeing that Vader had been weakened, Blake pressed the attack, slowly whittling away at Darth Vader's defense.
Darth Vader: She loved a dead woman. She would never have loved you.
Blake: YOU WILL DIE BY MY HAND!
Darth Vader then took the opportunity to blast Blake back. He then throws his Lightsaber at Blake, but she catches it and throws it back at Vader, severing one of his hands. Darth Vader then grips one of the pylons and throws it at Blake. As he attempted to crush her, Blake used the Force to absorb a lightning bolt from one of the rods surrounding the battleground. Blake then channeled the energy of the lightning bolt into a powerful barrage of Force Lightning. Vader was taken completely off guard and struck directly in his chest panel by the blast, allowing Blake to free herself from the pylon. Vader's life support systems were compromised by the barrage to the point where he could no longer defend himself. As Darth Vader was brought to her knees, Blake held both of her Lightsabers at the defeated Sith Lord.
Blake: You have taken everything from me!
Darth Vader: Your feelings for her are not real.
Blake: THEY ARE REAL TO ME!
???: WAIT!
Blake was halted by Cal and Cere along with Merrin and a squadron of Rebel soldiers.
Blake: You want him dead as much as I do, Cal!
Cal: Yes, but not yet! Not until he's told us the Empire's secrets!
As Cal said this, Blake's ears pushed back, showing her anger.
Blake: You want him taken prisoner?
Cere: Yes. To a hidden Rebel base where we can interrogate him, put him on trial for crimes against the true Republic! And then we'll execute him, to show the Galaxy that we don't need to fear him any longer!
As Cere pleaded to Blake, the Clone's anger grew. She glanced over to Yang's motionless body. Blake tightly gripped her Lightsabers.
Cere: Blake...I know what you're feeling. It would be easy to kill him right here and right now. For all the evil that he's done to the Galaxy, he deserves to die. But striking him down in anger is not the way! Once you go down the Dark path, it will forever dominate your destiny.
Blake: If I let him live, he'll haunt me forever....
Cal: Listen, Blake. He is the only one who can tell you if Blake Belladonna really survived. He can't tell you if he's dead!
In that moment, a choice had been laid out before Blake. Her memory flashes to her final hours in Vader's Castle where she was faced with a similar choice. She could either strike down Darth Vader in anger or she could spare him. With a deep breath, Blake readied her Lightsaber and made her choice. This one choice would decide her destiny.
