Chapter 16

Jamie's POV

I walked in to see a man that seemed familiar to me. Then that's when I realized. It was one of Penelope's ex-adoptive brothers.

"What are you doing in my house?" I asked. He was standing by the kitchen looking very angry.

"You took her from us! I'm here to save her!" He yelled, running towards me.

"I didn't take her from anyone! She wanted to come here with me!"

"That's a lie! You made her stop talking to us! You flew her away!"

"No, she decided to stop talking to you guys. You guys never cared about her enough."

He punched me in the face, making me fall. This guy was three times my size. I can tell by the way he talks that there's something mentally wrong with him.

Like he's not understanding the full picture. Yes I may have kidnapped her but that's besides the point. He began punching me repeatedly while yelling "where is she!" I had a bloody nose and a black eye.

"I'm here Huxley!" Said Penelope.

"PENELOPE GET BACK IN THE FUCKING CAR!" I yelled, I didn't want him to hurt her.

He punched me again and told me to shut up. He began walking towards Penelope. I used the last of my strength to get up and yank him down to the floor. He just pushed me off causing me to black out.

Penelope's POV

"JAMIEEEEE!" I yelled, running towards him. Huxley yanked me back and lifted me over his shoulder.

"HUXLEY LET GO I NEED TO HELP JAMIE!"

"He's dangerous Penelope, I'm saving you."

"HUXLEY PLEASE THAT'S NOT TRUE HE SAVED ME!" I explained, hitting his back.

"Huxley please he's not moving! I love him, Huxley! I'm sorry for leaving you. I shouldn't have. I was selfish and I didn't know how much you missed me. I promise if you stop this I'll get you help and never lose contact with you again!" I sobbed. He stopped walking and set me down.

"So he's not the bad guy?" He asked.

"He's not Huxley, he cares a lot about me."

"You promise you won't leave me alone again?"

"I promise I'll never stop talking to you Huxley. You're my brother and I love you." I said, giving him a hug. He hugged me back and then we went to check on Jamie.

"He's still breathing!" I said in relief. I called 911 on Jamie's phone and comforted Huxley because he was a little scared.

Once the police and ambulance came they took Huxley in handcuffs. Tried to explain to them that he didn't know but they wouldn't listen. Before they put Huxley in the car Jamie spoke up.

"He's not the one you should be arresting. It's Claire Bryson, she manipulated him and told him to come for us." Said Jamie.

"JAMIE YOU'RE OKAY!" I smiled, running towards him.

The police uncuffed Huxley and I gave him a big Huxley. Then I went to the ambulance with Jamie.

The police said they were taking Huxley to a hospital where he could get the help he needed. I held Jamie's hand as we both waited for the long ride to be over.

This was definitely something...
