Penelope POV

A week had passed and I had finally got a job. Nothing really happened in the last week. No visits from Mrs. Williams and nobody came to work on the house.

I guess I was a little glad. Mrs. Williams obviously had a thing for Jamie, but I couldn't help to wonder... was I in the wrong?

I got up and took a shower. I put on a simple light pink dress with some heels to match. I put my hair in a low puff and wore some earrings with it.

I walked downstairs and saw Jamie sitting at the table sipping his coffee

I walked downstairs and saw Jamie sitting at the table sipping his coffee. He looked at me and smiled.

I grabbed my lunch which was chicken Alfredo and we both went to the car. My new job was 15 minutes from our house so it wasn't so bad. Once we got there Jamie got out as well.

"Jamie, I can go in by myself. If you go in you'll be late for work."

"This is my job, silly."

"What?"

"We work in the same company."

"But you're a-"

"We also need Journalists to write about our progress." He cut me off.

"Oh..."

"Don't be sad Penny, now we're together." He smiled, kissed my forehead. We both walked in and a Asian lady with long hair came up to us.

"Hi I'm Midori Suzuki, you must be Penelope."

"Yes, that's her." Jamie answered for me, I was a little shy. I held my lunch in front of me as Jamie's hand was on my shoulder.

I waved a little and Midori smiled. She told me to follow her and I did. I waved Jamie goodbye and he went to the elevator.

"How do things work around here?" I asked the lady, she turned around and faced me.

She was wearing a fancy blue dress with some heels and she had glasses that made her look intelligent.

"We'll write newspapers about what our Scientists are working on. We also promote our company by collaborating with brands."

"Sounds interesting."

"It is. We often go to different places in England for charity events and stuff like that."

"I look forward to it."

"If you don't mind me asking... Why did you come in with the boss today?"

"The boss? Do you mean Jamie?"

"Yea."

"Oh he's my boyfriend."

"Woah good job girl! He's definitely a keeper!"

I laughed at her comment. She gave me a few more papers and left. I read over the information and began writing a summary of the work the scientists have been doing.
