Chapter 21

Jamie's POV

I was furious. I had just left the bathroom after waiting in the long line for what felt like hours.

And then Penelope tells me that some guy was dancing with her. I was heated and ready to beat that son of a bitches ass.

as I was punching the guys I realized a crowd began to form. But not only around me and the guy. Penelope.

After I got done beating him up I looked back at her to see her on the floor.

"Penelope can you hear me? Penelope are you okay?" Asked Midori, she was sitting by her with Penny's head in her lap.

"Midori what happened?" I asked.

"When she grabbed to try to calm you down you pushed her back causing her to hit her head."

I did that? I was too angry to even realize that I hurt the love of my life. I lifted her up in my arms and rushed her outside.

I went to the car and sat her in the passenger seat. I buckled her up and began driving to the emergency room.

One there I brought her inside and yelled for help.

"Help! My girlfriend got in an accident and she's not responding!" I yelled. Nurse came out and took me to a room.

I set her down and they told me to wait in the lobby.thought passing through my head.

It's all my fault.

I don't deserve her...

I killed her...

20 minutes passed and the nurses came to get me. I got up and followed them back into the room. Penelope was still on the bed unconscious.

"Is she alright?"

"Yes, she just got a mild concussion. She should be waking up shortly. What happened?"

"She fell on the floor hard."

"Oh... if her head still hurts, give her some medicine. She can go now if you like."

"Ok."

I signed some papers, picked her up and put her in the car. I drove home relieved that everything was okay.

One we got home I put her in our bed. I was going to get dressed for bed when I heard a text notification sound.

I checked my phone.

Midori: Hey Jamie, this is Midori. I wanted to see how Penelope is doing.

Jamie: she's doing fine. She just got a concussion.

Midori: please don't be mad at her. She didn't know.

Jamie: You knew she was dancing on him?

Midori: No, I saw her look back at the man and walk away. I didn't see anything before that.

Jamie: Alright.

I turned off my phone and continued to get myself ready for bed. I laid down next to her. Tears filled my eyes.

I've been so selfish. She had the right to see her brother. And I yelled at her for it... I hit her...

I dozed off silently.

The next day...

I woke up and made breakfast for Penelope and I. I'm not a cook but I think I did pretty good. Pancakes. Her favorite.
