😵Penelope's POV😵

"Ma'am can you hear me, are you alright?"

Yes!

Yes!

YESS!

Wait, why can't I talk? Hey, I can't talk! Dammit...

"She's going unconscious."

Shit...

🤭Jamie's POV🤭

I ran up and saw Penelope in the ambulance bed. Police officers around making sure to keep out civilians.

"That's my girlfriend!" I yelled,

"Stand back bud." One of the officers said.

"But she's my girlfriend! Her name is Penelope Emerson and she lives with me please!"

"I said STAND BACK!" The officer yelled.

She was bleeding a lot and she wasn't moving. Tears ran down my cheeks. I put my hands on the sides of my hands as I panicked.

No no no no my baby... not my baby...

"What hospital is she going to?" I asked one of the ambulance workers.

"Franklins."

They got in the ambulance and drove off. I rushed to my car and gpsed Franklins hospital.

Once there I rushed inside. The lady at the front over said she was in surgery. 4 hours passed and a nurse came up to me.

"Are you Miss Emerson's Boyfriend?" She asked.

"Yes."

"So Miss Emerson currently lives with you right?"

"Yes, I-is she alright?"

"She's alright but she's just asleep. According to the x-rays we did... we think she may be paralyzed in both her legs."

I couldn't believe it. My Penelope was going to be unable to walk? This was the worst day ever.

"She was intoxicated and walked into the street then hit by a car. I'm sorry sir."

I wiped the tears that had fallen then followed the nurse into her room. There I saw Penelope hooked on medical stuff. The nurse left and shut the door.

I held her hand as I broke down crying on the floor. My princess was badly hurt. Regret filled my mind.

"B-baby I'm sorry. I'm sorry Penelope, I love you." I sobbed.

"J-J-Jamie?"

I look up at her. Only pain and wonder was in her brown eyes.

"Yes Princess?"

"W-why does everything hurt? W-what h-happened to m-m-me?" She stuttered, trying to sit up.

"No baby, don't try to move. You got in an accident. That's why you have stitches."

"An accident? What happened?"

"You were hit by a car princess..."

She began crying. I wiped her tears as I tried to calm her down.

"Jamie, why can't I move my legs? Jamie I can't feel my legs! Jamie!" She cried.

"Shh Shh baby... you were hit badly so you won't be able to walk."

"For how long?"

"I don't know."

She bursted into tears and I struggled to be strong. She can't see me cry right now. I need to be strong for her.

"Jamie..." she whined, "Don't leave me."

"I won't baby, I'm staying right here." I said, putting my hand on her cheek. She leaned into it as her last tear dropped.

She closed her eyes and I looked at the heart monitor...

It was fine. Thank Jesus. I sat on the chair next to her and the door opened. It was an old man.

"Hello Mr. Ford, I'm Penelope's doctor. Dr. Westward."

I got up and looked at him.

"Hello Dr. Westward." I greeted him, shaking his hand.

"Will she be able to go home today?"

"No... Well, unless you hire a full-time nurse that can care for her at home."

"That sounds like a good idea. Is there any nurse here available Dr. Westward?"

"There is. Valentina Jones. She's 25 but don't let her age underestimate her. She's a 5 star nurse."

"Great. She's hired."

Me and Dr. Westward talked about her treatment. He doesn't know how long she will be paralyzed. He's hoping for only a month. But he's still unsure.

The next day I met Mrs. Jones, the nurse. She was a Mexican woman with long black hair. She wore pink scrubs along with heavy makeup.

🚨NEW CHARACTER ALERT 🚨

She had a nose ring and was wearing large gold hoops. She's like Penelope's Mexican sister!

I took her home and set her in our bedroom. Mrs. Jones was following us so she came in as well. She was now laying on the bed covered in our soft blankets.

"She should be fine to sleep. All she has is stitches on her left wrist."

"Thank you Mrs. Jones."

"No problem. I'll give Penelope her medicine. She needs a few shots."

"Alright I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." I said, walking out.

I began to make dinner. Teriyaki chicken with broccoli and rice. An hour passed and Mrs. Jones came down.

"Goodbye, I'll be back next week. She's awake upstairs."

"Alright. Thank you for helping her."

She gave me a smile then left. I locked the door then plated dinner. I walked upstairs...
