Taismo: Cosmo's change

Chapter 1

Tails was the king of a castle, he was sitting with a smile on his throne.
He had his knights just down the steps of his throne, and they were Sonic, Knuckles, Amy and Rouge, the most loyal knights he ever had.

That day a poor man came there and his knights were about to kick him away immediately, but Tails said: "Wait guys, let's hear him."

The poor man came in front of him, he knelt and said: "My lord, me and my family have always respected the law and always served your kingdom, knowing that you're the right king, but now a fire destroyed my farmhouse, including my granary and all the food I kept there.
I always helped everyone who was in need, but now I have nothing more, I managed to live for a month but I'm starving, and my family is even worse than me, I beg you, help me."

Tails smiled and reached him, he took his hands and said: "Bring your family here, you're welcome to stay here for a month, until you'll recover and you'll be able to restart your life."

The poor man couldn't thank enough Tails, he hugged him tight and said: "Oh Thanks, Thanks, Thanks, I couldn't ask for more... you're the greatest lord I've ever served, I'll always be loyal to you, I swear."

After this he left, Tails said: "Sonic, prepare a room for he and his family, then feed them."
Sonic bowed saying: "Yes, my lord."
Tails giggled and said: "You know that we don't need such formalities."
Sonic then shook himself and said: "Of course, as you wish my lo..."
he shook hard his head and, once he did it, he pointed at Tails and said: "Sure thing pal." and left, doing as Tails said, he was happy to be the king of a so great feud.

When Sonic left, he crossed someone, he freed the way and knelt down.
The sound of some trumpet and some people kneeling down already said what was happening, then a voice announced: "The queen arrived to the throne room!"

Once Cosmo got inside the room, she immediately said: "Get up, there's no need for such formalities."
And everyone got up, then they separated opening a way for her to her throne, next to Tails.
Tails was really happy looking at her, she walked slowly in order to reach him.
When she reached for Tails, she said: "Good morning my king."
Tails smiled back and said: "Good morning my queen."

Tails closed his eyes and started going to kiss her, but just before he did, he hear a distant voice calling him.

The voice became always more loud, until he opened his eyes, he looked all around and his whole castle was collapsing.
There was nobody around him he found himself alone in a collapsing castle, but he wasn't worried.

After a while the whole castle collapsed, and he found himself alone, somewhere in the dark, he couldn't understand what was happening, until...

Cosmo: "TAILS, WAKE UP!"
Tails woke up from his dream, he was still dreamy, but he managed to say: "Mhhhhhhh, what's up Cosmo? It's still late, please, go back to sleep."
Cosmo: "Tails, something's wrong, I'm feeling bad!"

This worried Tails, he said: "Sorry..." Then he slapped himself quite hard, in order to wake up, once he did he asked: "What do you feel Cosmo?"
Cosmo: "I'm feeling something... like... a blade, running through all my body Tails."
Tails: "WHAT?"
Cosmo: "Like if it's peeling me, it hurts me Tails."

Tails didn't know what to do, he got up and reached Cosmo's side of the bed saying: "Give me an arm."
He took her up and went to the lab, he placed her on a bed, next to a machine.

He made some exams on her checking all her body and matching it with what he knew about seedrians, hoping to understand something more
When he did he had to give a bad news to Cosmo: "I'm sorry Cosmo, but reading this there's nothing wrong on you, I don't know how to help."
Cosmo wasn't worried, she had a good news to say: "You know, I'm not feeling that anymore Tails."

Tails was happy to hear that, he reached her and asked: "You mean that the pain is over?"
Cosmo: "Yeah, it stopped while you were making the tests."
Tails: "That's good then..." he yawned and said: "...I think I need to go back sleep Cosmo..."
He started working on some machines and the power sockets with no hurry: "...Just let me shut down everything and..."

Suddenly Cosmo start yelling: "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Tails look at her worried and ask: "What's wrong?"
Cosmo rush out of the lab yelling: "DON'T LOOK AT ME!!!!" meanwhile she was holding something in her chest.

Tails just shut down everything inside the lab, so he started following her, she reached their bedroom, got inside and closed the door.
Tails tried to open the door but it was locked from inside, Tails asked: "Cosmo, what happened?"
Cosmo: "Please, leave me alone."
Tails: "Just tell me, did I do something wrong?"
Cosmo: "No, but please..."
Tails: "Ok, we'll talk tomorrow, I hope you'll feel better, goodnight."
And Tails left, going in another bedroom, actually he wanted to know more, but it was still deep night and he needed to sleep.

He could get asleep quite fast, since he was still much sleepy.
He was really worried about Cosmo, but he was too tired to take care about that, and there was no hurry for anything.
