Taismo: Cosmo's change

Chapter 3

Tails thought: "What do Cosmo likes?"
He got his mind on everything he knew about her, then he said: "She likes stars, my music, flowers... but sadly I'm not expert on this last one, what else?"

Meanwhile he was walking around the town, searching for something great for her.
He ended up in front of a pastry shop, he got a great idea, maybe a cake could help her smile.

He got inside and waited his turn, then he asked for a Ricotta cake, he bought it and headed out with it.
Once he was outside, he headed for the ice cream shop, he wanted to buy some vanilla ice cream.

His idea was to mix the cake and the ice cream, 2 things that Cosmo loves so much, but he was going to do it directly in front of her, maybe his idea could be a disaster, maybe it could be great.

Once he bought them, he looked at his watch, it was lunchtime, he couldn't be more happy to go back home and help Cosmo, he wanted to see her so much.

He got home immediately, but once he got in, he understood that the problem was far worse than he thought.

He walked past the door and said loud: "I'm back home Cosmo!"
But Cosmo was nowhere, he looked in the living room or on the play room, but nothing.

He entered the kitchen and found the pancakes he made for Cosmo, he yelled: "WHAT!?!? She didn't eat them... did she even left the bedroom?"

He headed immediately for his bedroom and knocked the door saying: "Cosmo, are you here?"
He couldn't hear an answer, so he placed his ear on the door and heard her crying, he got really worried.

Tails: "Cosmo, I can hear you, please, answer me."
Cosmo: "Just, go away Tails."

Tails was wordless, he couldn't imagine that her problem was this serious.
He had to do something immediately, he headed in the play room and took his guitar, then his translator and reached the door out of his bedroom.
He took some breaths, then he started singing.ù

He was sure that she just got back a smile, so he knocked the door and said: "Cosmo, can you open the door now?"
But still no answers, Tails started getting desperate.

Tails: "Cosmo, it's not possible that I've done nothing to you.
What have I done to you that you act like this with me? Please, let us talk."
Again no answers, Tails was totally desperate
He dropped his guitar and yelled: "COSMO, PLEASE, I BEG YOU!!!!"

Nothing, so Tails continued: "COSMO, since the day you came back alive, I promised to myself to always help you, AT LEAST GIVE ME THE CHANCE TO DO IT!
I don't even know what's happening, what have I done or what your problem is... maybe you're right and it's too bad that you cannot say it to anybody, BUT I CANNOT LIVE LIKE THIS!
Maybe I cannot help you, but at least let me know what your problem is, I'll feel better for sure, AND I ALWAYS SHOWED IT TO YOU, I'LL ALWAYS HELP YOU NO MATTER WHAT!
JUST YESTERDAY WE MARRIED, WE PROMISED TO EACHOTHER HAPPINESS FOREVER, DON'T LEAVE ME LIKE THIS COSMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Then he fell on the ground and cried really loud, what happened to Cosmo?
His speech and his emotion could finally make Cosmo move, she felt really bad for leaving Tails like that, so she got to the door and said: "Tails."

Tails didn't answer, but he was listening and Cosmo understood that.
Cosmo: "I'm sorry, I think you're right, but... my problem is so..."
Tails: "At least... *sob*... make me know."
Cosmo: "I need to ask you 2 things before I open the door."

Tails stood silent, Cosmo said: "Please, don't feel bad when you'll see me, don't be disgusted and don't laugh, ok?"

Tails said: "Ok, now open please."
Cosmo: "And... can you bring me something to cover myself? No questions please."

Tails didn't hear another word, he headed immediately in the bedroom he slept that night and took the sheet.
He thought immediately that it wasn't the best idea, maybe taking it from a wardrobe could be better, but he was too in a hurry to see her, so he did it and didn't care.

When he got back he said: "I've got a sheet, now open please."
Cosmo opened a bit the door, Tails handed the sheet to her and gave her a few more seconds, then she opened wide the door.

Tails noticed that she was covering her body with it, from the armpits, he could examine her better, but he was too emotive, he simply hugged her tight and allowed himself to cry.

Cosmo got surprised to feel his hug, she asked: "Tails... can't we just talk?"

Tails kept crying and said: "No, Cosmo... we cannot." and tightened his hug.
