Taismo: Cosmo's change

Chapter 11

Sonic and Amy got attacked by Eggman a few minutes ago, Eggman had the intention to kill them and finally eliminate every threat to his Egg-empire.

Eggman had a secret robot, he worked on that for so many years and it was finally ready, he studied Sonic's moves and that robot perfectly, it was meant to destroy Sonic forever.
That robot's weak point was Tails, he would've been able to understand that robot's weakpoints and much more, but Eggman wasn't worried since he killed him yesterday.

Sonic and Amy lost the battle and got quite badly injured, they were no match for that robot, Eggman was laughing: "HAHAHAHAHAHA, You're now useless without your friend, SAY CHEESE!"
The robot was charging an ultra concentrated laser beam, Sonic and Amy were scared for their life.

Amy: "Sonic, run, save yourself!"
Sonic hugged her and shielded her saying: "No way Amy, I WON'T LEAVE YOU!"
Amy had tears in her eyes and said: "Sonic..."
They closed their eyes scared, knowing it was the end.

That charging got suddenly interrupted, Eggman got worried and asked: "WHAT? What's happening to my robot, its circuits seems fried!"
The tornado just ended the diving and started going back up, Tails said: "Oh, sorry, I didn't know it was important."
Eggman: "WHAT? Didn't I kill you yesterday?"
Tails: "I guess I don't have only 2 tails, I have 2 lifes too!"
Eggman checked his robot and found the problem: "You deactivated it with a charge of EMPs (electromagneting pulse)... BAD CHOICE!"

Eggman's robot made an EMP explosion. The eggmobile was shilded against this, but the tornado got disabled, Tails lost controls and started precipitating.
He activated the non electrical ejectable exit and the doors opened, he jumped out and safely landed with his flying ability.

Eggman laughed and said: "I thought it would have been useless, but I equipped the robot with an anti-EMP device, he can gather the EMP charge he receive and explode them away.
I cannot believe I was worried about what you would have done to this robot, you're useless too!"
Then the robot turned on Sonic and Amy once again and restarted the laser, Tails this time was powerless, but not worried, he looked next to him and noticed a write on the ground saying: "GO TAILS", he could guess what was going to happen.

Eggman: "SAY CHEESE!" then he pressed the remote, The robot was supposed to fire, but it didn't, nobody but Tails could understand.

Eggman: "WHAT THE? What's happening now?" he checked it and found out that some plant vines were blocking the circuits.
Tails smiled and said: "Keep it steady Cosmo!" then he flew to the robot.

Eggman himself and his egg-mobile tried to attack Tails, but some plants blocked his way to Tails.
Meanwhile Tails checked everything about that robot, he reprogrammed it and said: "ALL DONE! LET IT GO!"

Cosmo let go the robot which started facing Eggman, he got scared and asked: "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?"
Tails played with a screwdriver and said: "You should know I'm an expert about this."
Eggman: "No, I mean about the plants."
Cosmo appeared there and said: "That was meeee!"
Eggman: "WHAT?"

The robot flew on Eggman, it grabbed his mobile and flew him away, Eggman yelled: "NOOOOOOOOOO!"

Tails cleaned his hands, then he hugged Cosmo and said: "You've been great Cosmo!"
Cosmo: "Thanks Tails."
They broke that hug immediately and headed for Sonic and Amy, they were badly injured and in need of help.

Sonic and Amy couldn't move, but Sonic: "Tails, Cosmo, THANK YOU SO MUCH, without you, we'd be... URGHHHHH"
Tails: "Sonic, don't talk, save your energy." Then he separated them, so he could check them better.

Tails saw that luckly Amy's injuries were only painful, nothing to be afraid off, but Sonic in was far worse situation, his condition was really severe.
Sonic had a severe wound, too big for Tails' tastes, it was already infected, he had to take care of it, and he knew what to do, but he had no medicines he could use.

He looked Cosmo and whispered: "We need medicines, otherwise he won't survive."
Amy heard him, she got scared and said: "I'll call an ambulance!"
Tails: "It will be too late when they'll reach us, got something in your home?"
Amy: "We've got nothing Tails."

Cosmo was worried, then she heard something, she smiled knowing she could do something, She said: "Wait Tails, what do you need?"
Tails: "I need something to treat his wound, then I'm sure his temperature will rise."
Cosmo said: "Then we can help him Tails" after saying this she summoned from the ground many plants that could be useful for the purpose.

Tails didn't know what to do, instead Cosmo started taking them, Tails got worried and asked: "Do you think we can take them?"
Cosmo smiled and said: "Don't worry, medical plants are happy to die if they know they'll be used for that purpose."
Tails smiled and didn't worry about that anymore, she took all the plants she knew they could use to help Sonic.

Tails: "But we cannot use them like this, we have to...?"
Cosmo handed him a pestle and a mortar made of wood and asked: "Do you mean that we need these?"
Tails: "Wow, you're really amazing me!"

She took the pestle and mortar and started grinding these plants: centella, hypericum, aloe and sedum.
She pestled them strongly, meanwhile Tails asked: "What are those for?"
Cosmo: "These will heal his wound."
Tails: "And what about the temperature?"

Cosmo took berk and leaves of weeping willow, Tails asked what to do and Cosmo told him to make an infusion with some water.

So Tails rushed inside Sonic and Amy's house to take a glass, a bottle of water and some sheets, he teared them so they could use them like bandages.

Meanwhile Cosmo got close to Amy and reassured her saying: "Amy, Tails is sure about your condition, You're going to be fine, but Sonic isn't."
Amy begged her saying: "Please, save him."
Cosmo smiled: "Of course we'll save him, but you must stay back, I'm sorry."
Amy: "Why are you sorry?"

Cosmo didn't answer and trapped Amy inside a cage made of plant vines, Amy got scared, but she couldn't do anything, so she tried to relax leaving Sonic in their hands.

Once Tails got back, Cosmo made a cup of wood, then she dropped his extract of plants there, doing her best to filtrate it from all the impurity.
Meanwhile Tails was sorry for not being expert on that, however he did his best and made the infusion of weeping willow with some water.

When finally everything was setted, Tails asked Cosmo a branch, she found one and gave it to Tails.
They all knew that, what they were going to do, would have been painful for Sonic.
Tails said: "Cosmo, you must block him tight, this will be painful."

Cosmo nodded and some plant vines tied Sonic's arms and legs on the ground, blocking him.
Then Tails kneeled next to Sonic, and Cosmo did it on his other side.

Tails took off his gloves and said: "I'm really sorry Sonic, this will hurt you really much."
He took the bottle and washed his hands, then he washed Sonic's wound, Sonic resisted that pain quite easily.

Tails placed the branch inside Sonic's mouth and said: "Bite strong buddy."
Sonic did like Tails said, then Tails asked: "This right? Drop on the wound?"
Cosmo nodded, then Tails got ready to drop that concentrated on the wound, but first he asked: "Sonic, are you ready?"

Sonic looked at him, he was scared, but he trusted him and nodded.
Tails: "Here I go."
Cosmo got ready to block Sonic more than how she already did, Tails took a deep breath and started dropping his concentrated on Sonic.

Once the first drop falled on Sonic, he started screaming the loudest possible, luckly the branch throttled his scream and helped him to resist the pain.
Tails didn't like making Sonic feel like that, but there was no other choice.

Eventually Sonic felt no more pain when Tails dropped everything on Sonic's wound, then he covered it immediately with a bandage. He said: "Cosmo..."
Cosmo didn't need any instruction and freed Sonic, helping him to get sitted. Tails bandaged Sonic the best he could.

Sonic clearly was feeling much better about the wound, but he surely was feeling far worse than before.
Cosmo took the glass, handed it Sonic and said: "Drink this Sonic."
Sonic didn't ask and took it, drinking it all, the taste wasn't good, but better than expected. (That's Acetylsalicylic acid, it makes the effect of an aspirine)

Amy said: "Cosmo..."
Cosmo looked at her and smiled, the plant vines retreated and let free Amy to reach Sonic.
Sonic clearly wasn't feeling good yet, They all knew the reason, Tails took him on his arms and headed into their home.

Once they got inside Sonic and Amy's home, Tails brought Sonic on his bed and placed him under the sheets, Sonic was still feeling bad.
Amy asked worried: "What's happening now?"
Tails placed a hand on Sonic's forehead, then he gave him a little kiss and said: "he's sick Amy, but we knew it, I said his temperature was going to rise"

Amy was scared and asked: "What now?"
Tails: "We can only let him rest Amy."
Amy: "Will he survive?"
Tails: "I don't know, what did we gave him Cosmo?"
Cosmo: "I know that those herbs were supposed to help him for the problems you said, I don't know what happens when someone is sick."

Tails said: "I'll call a doctor Amy, wait here."
So Tails called a doctor, which arrived really fast there, they explained everything that just happened then they brought him to see Sonic.
The doctor checked Sonic for good, then he had wonderful news: "I see you treated his wound perfectly... nice job."

Amy: "What will happen Doctor?"
Doctor: "Have no fear, he's having a normal temperature, nothing serious."
Amy, Tails and Cosmo took the greatest breath of relief they could, then the doctor headed away saying: "I'm really glad to see that there are so talented people, you knew exactly what plants to use and how to recognize them."

Then he left, Amy assaulted Cosmo with a hug: "COSMOOOOOO, YOU SAVED HIM, I'LL NEVER REPAY YOU ENOUGH!"
Cosmo couldn't match Amy's strength and falled immediately, Tails took her from behind so Cosmo didn't fall on the ground, Cosmo was really glad to receive such affection.
Cosmo: "You're welcome Amy, but there's no need for this... I mean, you would have done the same for me."

They all stood on that hug for a while, then Amy offered them something, but Tails and Cosmo left and went back home, so Amy could become a nurse and take care of her so important patient.

Tails got curious and asked: "Cosmo, how did you know that those plants were going to save Sonic?"
Cosmo: "The plants told me, I only did what they said."
Tails got jealous about her power, she said: "You know Cosmo, I'm guessing that, with your power, you'll become the strongest girl on Mobius."
Cosmo: "What? No way Tails, I'm not strong at all... They are." then she kneeled and caressed the herbs she had around.
Tails: "Yeah, but you can... well, you... There's nothing to say, just that you are you." And he took her on a big hug.

After that day Amy took care of Sonic wonderfully, he recovered totally from what happened.
Tails and Cosmo went to visit them everyday, until he recovered, once he did they threw the greatest party they could, to celebrate Cosmo's new powers.

Then they kept living together like they always did, Eggman tried a few more times to defeat them, but he had no chance at all.
For Tails and Cosmo it felt like a start of a new relationship, it was like they just met eachother for the very first time, in the positive way, of course.
Cosmo wished many times to have back her old body, but eventually she managed to get used to her new body.
Tails couldn't be more happy, finally he could say he had everything he always wished for, he only had to wait Sherry to be back, or maybe...

Whatever, there were only reasons to be happy, finally the war against the bad jokes that life is used to play seemed to be over.
Tails and Cosmo's relationship had no more true problems, only a wonderful life to enjoy.
No more true fights, no more reasons to hate eachother, and soon Eggman stopped attacking, everything became perfect for them... maybe too perfect!
