Taismo: Cosmo's change

Chapter 7

Sonic and Amy cried for a long time, while Eggman kept laughing really hard, he finally fooled Sonic and killed his worst rival.
After a bit Sonic's sadness disappeared, making space to angerness, he slowly got on all four, then he got on his knees and then he stood up.

Every single movement he made was emanating fury, when he stood up, he opened his eyes and they were burning in a white fire of fury, he clearly wasn't anymore Sonic, he was a super Dark Sonic of fury.

Eggman was still laughing, he said: "And what do you think you can do? He's dead, he won't come back... look what you've got in front of you."
He pressed a remote and he summoned a huge army of robots, there were 20 times more robots than those he was used to fight when Eggman usually attack.
And just to make things worse, a gigantic and massive robot falled down from the sky, then the Egg mobile, where Eggman was sitting, got inside it.

Eggman said through speaker: "I suggest you to escape, you can do nothing here alone, HAHAHAHAHAHA... ATTACK!"
And a wave of robots started rushing to Sonic, once they reached him, he actually exploded of fury and started destroying everything he could reach.
He didn't skip any robot, he wanted to destroy all those he could get.

Eggman got worried because Sonic was an unstoppable bullet, he was so fast that Eggman couldn't even see him, he could see only his robots being wrecked and exploding.

Eggman noticed that, after only a minute, more than half of his army got destroyed, so he ordered them to make a wall while he was escaping far away.
He looked all around himself, and found his way out, he started flying to get over the sea, his best way you to escape Sonic.
But he had only the time to turn his robot around, once he did Sonic reached that robot and slammed it on the ground with fury.

Eggman was in panic, he ordered his robot to do whatever they could to save him, but there was no robot that could receive an order.
Sonic just destroyed everything that Eggman had, the only thing that he still had was the robot where he was.

Eggman heard many crushing sounds coming from outside, clearly it was Sonic trying to break through the robot.
Eggman said to himself: "Luckly I made this robot using the hardest material I've could find, Sonic won't be able to break through it, but still, I have to escape!"
He had the time to say it that Sonic penetrated through the tough armor of that robot and grabbed Eggman, then he tossed him outside of it.

Eggman was scared for his life, he tried to run away but the landing dislocated him an ankle, he couldn't move.
Sonic was walking slowly and looking him with fury in his eyes, Eggman didn't know what to do, except kneel and beg him to stop.

Once Sonic reached him, he grabbed him and started charging a fist, he said loud: "ONLY WITH DEATH, YOU'LL PAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"
Eggman begged him more and more to stop, but Sonic didn't care.

But when Sonic was ready to land him the fist that could kill him, a thought stopped him, it sounded with Tails' voice: "Sonic, we've not evil people, we're heroes, we cannot kill our enemies."
Sonic asked: "WHO'S THERE?"

Tails' voice: "It's me Sonic, you cannot do that."
Sonic: "TAILS? ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?"

Tails' voice: "No, I'm not, but please, stop, killing Eggman won't bring me back alive."
Sonic: "BUT THAT WILL MAKE JUSTICE!"

Cosmo's voice: "When I landed here, I was searching a hero... I've been lucky and I found many heroes, but what happened to the most valorous of them? Did he become a ruthless killer?"
Sonic: "I'M NOT A KILLER, I'M TAKING MY REVENGE!"

Amy's voice: "But you're not the Sonic I falled in love with!"
Sonic said loud: "I'M STILL MYSELF AMY, I KNOW YOU WANT THE SAME THING!"

Amy's voice: "What will the world think about you? What should I think about you? What will you show to our son?"
Sonic: "I'LL MAKE HIM A SAFE PLACE IN THIS WORLD!"

Amy's voice: "Then I cannot love you anymore Sonic, YOU'RE NOT THE HERO I MARRIED! You're becoming a threat to everyone!... farewell."
Sonic: "NO"

Then he started hearing a thousand voices around himself, saying he was a cruel hedgehog and that, if he'd never be born, everybody would have been better.
Sonic: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Sonic falled on his knees, feeling all the strength and determination flowing away from him.
Luckly, he didn't land his fist on Eggman.

However, Eggman was still scared for his life, he didn't know what happened or to do, Sonic hadn't much more strength, he managed to say with hard voice: "LEAVE, NOW!"
Eggman did it as Sonic said, and even if he had an ankle dislocated, he ran away the fastest he could.
Once Eggman left, Sonic falled down making no more moves, he felt weak and with no more energy, he just used everything he had to face Eggman.

Amy saw everything that just happened, she rushed to him, worried that Sonic could be feeling bad.
When she reached him and kneeled next to him, she tried to wake him up and said: "Sonic, please, tell me that you're still here."

Sonic had his eyes closed and didn't answer, Amy was thinking the worst, she said: "Please, no, NOT THAT! Before Cosmo, then Tails, please, don't be the next Sonic... DON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!"
But Sonic still wasn't answering, she was desperate, but she didn't lose hope yet.

She placed Sonic on the ground and moved her ear to his heart, listening carefully.
When she heard that it was pumping she felt much better, but it was still too early to relax.

She took her ear off of his heart and placed it close to his mouth, she had to hear him breathing.
When she did, Sonic made a snore, Amy felt immediately quite annoyed, like if Sonic just made her a bad joke.
But once she got up, she felt immediately totally relaxed, knowing that Sonic wasn't in a bad situation, he was only tired.

She thought that she had to bring him back home, because that place wasn't anymore a good place where they could stay.
Now she had the joy to see that he was still alive, but she knew that soon she would have faced once again Tails and Cosmo's death.

She gathered all the strength she had and took Sonic up how she could, then she brought him back home, refusing to give a look at the place where Tails was when he got stormed by those missiles, it would have been too painful.

Once they got back home, she started fighting against her tears, because the feelings started storming her.
She wanted to bring Sonic to their bed, but while she was on her way, she felt all her determination leaving her, due to her feelings.

She noticed that she was passing next to their coach, so she gathered all the strength she had and tossed Sonic there, then she fell on her knees and allowed herself to cry, but nothing could make her feel better.

She kept crying for so much that she couldn't say how long she's been there, but she still wasn't feeling better at all, suddenly she felt a hand touching her shoulder, she looked there and saw that it was Sonic trying to comfort her and himself.

Amy cried even louder and fell on Sonic's arms, they hugged each other really tight, but they couldn't accept what just happened, they just lost their greatest friends.
