Taismo: Cosmo's change

Chapter 5

Earthia took a long while to find someone, meanwhile Tails helped Cosmo the best he could by easing her suffering.

Cosmo was suffering really much (not physically), so Tails tried to have a conversation, he said: "Cosmo, why do you think you're so ugly?"
Cosmo: "What do you mean? This body is all ugly Tails, I DON'T LIKE IT AT ALL!"
Tails: "I think you're misjudging it."
Cosmo: "Why do you say that?"
Tails: "Because from my point of view, you're beautiful."
Cosmo took it like a bad joke: "What? AGAIN THIS BAD JOKE TAILS! HOW CAN YOU SAY SOMETHING SO CRUEL TAILS?"

Tails partially understood her, it was her first time seeing a body like that, so he said: "Cosmo, calm down, on Mobius, every girl has a body like that, I can assure you."
Cosmo couldn't believe to that, then Tails continued: "I swear to you, your body is the most beautiful I've ever seen Cosmo... and not only because I've never seen any other girl's body."

Cosmo didn't know what to think, but she still didn't like her new body.
Tails decided to tell her something he was hiding: "Cosmo, can I tell you something that, maybe, you won't like it?"
Cosmo nodded, still not happy.

Tails: "Do you remember yesterday, when I we promised eachother love forever?"
Cosmo thought a bit about it and nodded, Tails continued: "I lost my mind when I had to say: Yes, I do."
Cosmo: "Yeah, that hurted me Tails... why did you do that?"
Tails: "A thought stormed my mind, it was something you asked me long time ago."
Cosmo didn't remember to ask him something, she thought quite enough about it, then she said: "Can you help me remember that?"
Tails started talking like her: "Tails, would you like to have a baby fox?"

Cosmo remembered that then she asked: "Why did you think about that Tails?"
Tails: "Because I was going to unite forever with you... since I know you, I always thought you've always been like every other mobius girl... discovering that your body was different was a bad surprise for me Cosmo."
Cosmo got astonished hearing that, but Tails continued: "I thought that it was impossible for us to have another baby... and I do want another baby..." he started dreaming with his eyes open: "...I hope for a male fox like me... he'll be all his dad, I'll teach him to fly, to build machines, and to..."

Cosmo loved hearing him so happy, once he stop she remembered the reason because they were there, so Tails said: "Well, how were we supposed to? That was a pain to me... I did want a baby fox like me."
Cosmo asked badly surprised: "Then you're telling me that?"
Tails: "Yeah... Actually, I'd wish you to keep this body."

Cosmo got even more astonished and asked: "WHAT? Do you mean that you didn't like my other body?"
Tails could say that everything was getting ruined, just by hearing her tone of voice, so he said: "WHAT? No Cosmo, I've always loved you, no matter what, but..."

Cosmo didn't like that conversation, so she decided to cut short and say: "Enough Tails, stop saying things like that."
Tails: "BUT I..."
Cosmo: "I said enough... I'll forget what you just said and I'll forgive you, but to make it clear, I WANT BACK MY BODY! THAT'S THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, GOT IT?"
Tails felt really bad, he shutted himself after answering: "Ok, got it."

Actually Cosmo could understand Tails, but her body was a change she didn't want to do.

They waited for Earthia to come back, she finally got back with a doctor who knows everything at all about seedrian's body, history and legends.
The doctor got inside and said: "Here I am, where's the girl?"
Cosmo said: "I'm here!"

The doctor reached her immediately and watched her close, she checked all the body and asked: "When did this happen?"
Cosmo: "Just today."
The doctor: "I see... did you do something strange yesterday?"
Cosmo: "Yesterday I married Tails, is that what you mean for strange?"
The doctor: "Yes, Can I meet this Tails?"

Tails got in front of the doctor and said: "It's me!"
The doctor: "You're not a seedrian, where do you come from?"
Tails: "I come from planet Mobius... but what do this has to do with her body?"

The doctor understood everything and said: "Now I'm sure about it, it's not just a legend, it's truth... just tell me, with married, do you mean that you got united in love?"
Tails: "Yeah, that's what it means."
The doctor understood and said: "I've understood what happened..." then the doctor sighed.
Everybody asked him to continue: "...you see, when a seedrian gets united in love with someone not from this planet, he or she lose the body and obtain a the body of a person of that planet."

Cosmo and Earthia: "WHAT?"
Cosmo begged him saying: "Tell me that exist a cure, I don't want this body."
The doctor smiled and said: "Of course, you just have to leave this house and unite once again with Green Gate, once you'll take power from our planet egg, you'll be back like before.."

Cosmo exploded of joy, she started getting up in order to go outside of that house, but the doctor blocked her saying: "BUT... I must tell you about the side effects that this will have on you!"
Cosmo got worried to hear that, everyone else too, so they started hearing him carefully.

The doctor: "It's true, you'll have back your body, but, you have to be sure you're leaving nothing behind."
Cosmo: "And why do you say that?"
The doctor: "Because your body will become... well... how can I say... allergic from..." he looked to Tails and asked: "...You said Mobius, right?"
Tails got astonished, he asked: "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WITH ALLERGIC?"
The doctor: "I mean that her body will be poisoned just by touching Mobius or any creature who lives there, just by feeling that atmosphere, she won't come back ever on Mobius, otherwise she'll die poisoned."

Tails got astonished, then he got desperate, Earthia asked: "Isn't there another chance?"
The doctor: "Well, she can come back and earn power from Mobius' planet egg, but she'll keep their body forever with no other side effect... or at least, I have no idea what else will happen to her."
Earthia: "Why don't you know? Aren't you the greatest expert ever?"
The doctor: "Yeah, but every planet gives its own side effect, and I've never heard before about Mobius."

Earthia: "Ok, I see..."
In that moment Cosmo felt a great pain on her body, she bended over and slowly falled off the couch.
Earthia rushed to help her, she helded her while she said: "COSMO! WHAT'S HAPPENING?"
Cosmo: "It... hurts..."
Earthia asked to the doctor: "What's happening?"
The doctor: "It's getting too late, she must take power from a planet egg the sooner possible, otherwise she'll die."

Earthia looked at Cosmo and asked: "What do you want Cosmo?"
Tails couldn't hold anymore his tears, then he said: "I know what she wants... she said it's the most important thing... She wants her body back..." he did his best to try to keep his tears a little more, then he left saying: "...farewell Cosmo... My... Biggest... love."
Once he got on the teleport room, he falled on the ground and cryed the hardest and loudest possible trying to vent everything off, but he knew it wasn't possible.
He yelled while punching the ground: "Only yesteday everything was perfect, and now everything is ruined... I thought it was my best day ever, it wasn't... it's my worst day ever!"

Cosmo was still on her mother's arms, she was feeling so bad, and not only because her body was hurting her.
She was feeling bad for leaving Tails like that, she had no doubt about what she wanted, she wanted back her body, but hearing Tails that desperate softened her heart, she said: "MOM, WAIT!"
Earthia: "WHAT? Do you want to keep this body Cosmo?"

Cosmo: "No way at all mom... but... Tails..."
Earthia didn't know what to think, but she could understand what Cosmo meant, Tails was more important than anything else, she asked: "Are you sure?"
Cosmo's head falled back while she was feeling her strength leaving her, but she managed to say: "Please."

Earthia yelled: "TAILS WAIT!"
Tails opened his eyes and, raised his head asking: "WHAT?"
Earthia gave him Cosmo and said: "She made her choice."
Tails couldn't believe to it, he asked: "You mean that she wants to keep this body?"
Earthia shaked her head and said: "Nope, she doesn't want this body, she wants you!"

Tails hugged Cosmo tight and said: "Thank you Cosmo, Thank you, thank you, thank you." then he noticed that Cosmo wasn't responding, he panicked and opened the portal the fastest he could.
Once he did, he got outside and placed Cosmo on the ground, hoping it wasn't too late.

He waited for a while, hoping to see Cosmo feeling better, but he didn't see that.
After a while Cosmo got eaten by the planet in less than a second, Tails panicked immediately.
He falled down where Cosmo was lying before, he checked the ground while asking: "Cosmo?... Cosmo???? COSMO???? COSMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
