Xisumas POV

Xisuma gathered a small group of hermits to come on the trip with him. The group included Xisuma, Mumbo, Etho, Bdubs, False, Impulse, Ren, and Doc.

"So it looks like he went south?" False checked the coordinates Scar had sent again.

"Yep." Mumbo picked up his sword.

"I'm so exited to see him again!" Ren was very inpatient and wanted to leave already.

"Is everyone ready?" Xisuma wrote the coordinates on a slip of paper and looked at the group.

"I think so." Etho slipped a armor chest plate on.

"Alright then, let's go!" Xisuma opened his elytra and soared off.

"Finally!" Ren immediately followed him.

Scars POV

"So we're going into a war right?" Scar sat on the ground with Grian.

"I think so." Grian was studying his Gunadae book. It was a book with the anatomy, weaknesses and strengths of the Gunadae species.

"Can you put the book down for just a second?" Scar set down a glass of water.

"Hold on." Grians head bent down towards his book.

"Ok, we'll is there anything in the book that can help us with a war? Like what type of things hurt your species the most?"

Scar was trying to make sure he knew what type of defenses and attacks he needed to protect Grian against.

"We'll, wither potions or anything with a wither effect has a strong effect on us and can kill us in less than a day if we are hit on the wing. Especially arrows, the way that the arrow head pierces the wing, it causes the Gunadae to die in less than an hour depending on where they are hit. But if we're not hit on the wing, it can take less than a day to kill us if it's not treated."

Grian studied the weakness page of his book.

"Well I'm certainly not letting any wither touch you!"
Scar wasn't even sure how the Gunadae would get their hands on wither arrows and potions, but it's possible.

"Most of our strengths are hidden in our wings." Grian turned the book around to let Scar see all the different wing shapes and feather purposes.

Wing Shapes

Active Soaring Wings
Long and narrow. Excellent for gliding over water as long as wind currents are favorable.
Not the fastest wing shape.

Passive Soaring Wings
Long and Broad wings ending in long primary feathers with wide gaps in between. These slots help the Gunadae take advantage of columns of rising hot air, allowing it to soar without reliable wind currents.

Elliptical Wings
Optimized for bursts of fast, tightly controlled flight. Excellent at taking off quickly, and escaping danger. Ordinary flight is slow and usually requires flapping.

High-Speed Wings
Medium-long and narrow, optimized for sustainable quick speed.

Hovering Wings
Small relative to body sized. Excellent for tightly controlled flight and hovering.

"Which one do you have?" Scar studied the page and the pictures.

"Oh I have this one." Grian opened his wings and pointed at the High-speed wing design.

"Aren't the wing pictures pretty?" Grian picked the book back up and admired the pictures. He had probably read the entire book more than 50 times.

"Your wings are prettier." Scar lifted Grians head up and looked him in the eyes.
