Right after I posted my vlog, people started participating in my remix challenge! And a lot of these people didn't even go to my high school. I felt awesome, and I didn't think that Adree would have anything worthy to say back to me.
Tatum Gibbs @uptheSTARpower333
artificial sweeteners, that's what little girls are made from. artificial people, that's #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto
Todd Jeffrey @Todd9Jeffrey
Dumbed down and hypersexualized. Like rabbits. #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto
Stacy Melder @dinodinotrain
Good at counting...calories #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto
Helena Alder @forward2thepast
Years spent watching romantic comedies turn into years spent searching for "the one" #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto
Try me twice @abcdefgyep
Crazy bitches. Or at least that's what they call those of us who act assertive or aggressive like boys #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto
Adree even got into a feud about chivalry with me after I retweeted one of my favorite remixes:
Peter Rach @PRach1974
Helpless, the ones who always need the door to be held open for them #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto
Adree Richards @AdreeSchmadree_dancer
.@PRach1974 We don't NEED the door held open for us. But we deserve to live in a world where men are willing to be chivalrous to us
Dallas Delaney @DallasDelaney
.@PRach1974 @AdreeSchmadree_dancer It has nothing to do with deserving. It has to do with reliance. Reliance is dependence.
Dallas Delaney @DallasDelaney
.@PRach1974 @AdreeSchmadree_dancer Little girls deserve to know they don't need to be dependent. #WhatLittleGirlsSHOULDBMadeInto
Adree Richards @AdreeSchmadree_dancer
.@PRach1974 @DallasDelaney Um...we do know that. We just appreciate gentlemen. Chivalry isn't a bad thing.
Adree Richards @AdreeSchmadree_dancer
.@PRach1974 @DallasDelaney Turning little boys into gentlemen isn't a bad thing. I don't understand this branch of feminism! #WhatLittleBoysRMadeInto
My friends gave me a good laugh.
Bada$$ Benny @BennnnnnnnnyB
WOMEN. #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto
Alex the Kettle @deathblackthrash6666
we all end as corpses. #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto
There was some worthwhile opposition.
Andy @AndySowers
A lot of this stuff is changing though #whatlittlegirlsWEREmadeinto
Dallas Delaney @DallasDelaney
@AndySowers True, but girls are still affected and awareness and changes are still needed
And there was some unworthy opposition.
Grace Filmore @bythegraceofGrace
Lesbians. #WhatMisguidedGirlsBecome. It's not too late for you, Dallas!
Cade Smecker @Doctor_Smecker
Doesn't matter #WhatLittleGirlsRMadeInto, ALL they have to do is change their major from humanities to STEM, and the wage gap will b closed.
The best part was that I ate lunch in my car with Dylan at school and he told me that he finally liked this last vlog, although he did mention there was nothing wrong with fantasizing about dresswear for special occasions, which we had just done together the other night. "I hated that poem when I was little," he said, "Because I wanted to be made of sugar and spice and everything nice but apparently that wasn't allowed. And I was scared of snails."
"You were scared of snails?" I laughed.
"Still am. Some of them have parasites that kill you!"
"Well, parasites aside, I think they're badass little creatures."
"You remind me of Eric. Always trying to see the badass in things. You guys are like...badassimists."
That made me smile. "Where's he at today?"
"Went to lunch with Sharkbite and some other guys. He does that a few times a week. But next time I think I want him to be here. You know, with us."
"Why?"
Dylan looked me in the eyes. "Because I never hang out with the two of you."
"That's because Eric is to me how Benny and Alex are to you."
"Well, it doesn't have to be that way. I really think you and Eric would get along; you've just never given him a chance."
"I always thought me and Adree would get along, and now look at us."
"Please?" he held his hands together.
"Oh, alright. You and me and Eric. Thursday."
"Cool! We'll get to talk about Adree's comeback video. She releases them on Wednesday nights, right?"
"Yep," I said. I had privately nicknamed those nights of the week Woeful Wednesdays. "She won't defeat me this week!"
Surprisingly, I was really excited to see what Adree had to say, so I waited for Woeful Wednesday like I was waiting for Christmas morning.
