Y/n never listened to the news, so it was a shock seeing the press in front of UA. Watching from afar, she tried to devise a plan to avoid them after witnessing every kid that wandered near them get bombarded with questions and a camera pushed into their face. Y/n considered using her quirk, but then she would have to obtain a lecture by Aizawa on why it's wrong to use your quirk outside of school.
She hung her head down and walked fast, past all the reporters. There was a large audience, and everyone was very compact, so they turned her idea of walking past them down when she got stuck trying to get through the crowd.
"Excuse me, are you a part of the class 1-A?" A lady said, cramming a microphone near Y/n's mouth.
Y/n's eyes averted from side to side, trying to look for someone she recognized to help. "Umm," Y/n mumbled.
"I just want to ask some ques-"
"L/n go to class. As for you press, leave. All Might isn't here today, and you have already bothered my students," Aizawa interrupted, tired of the interviews.
Y/n nodded, then turned to walk away. Before she could leave, she felt a palm grasp onto her wrist.
Y/n's first reaction was to defend herself. Quickly turning around, swatting the reporter's hand out of the way, she formed a ball of energy in the palm of her hands.
"Don't touch me," Y/n spat.
Y/n never liked people touching her, whether by showing affection or someone she was close to. People touching her affected her body. Y/n usually blamed her lack of needing affection on her quirk, or at least that's what she told her parents, but the truth was she just hated physical touch.
Everyone backed away, fear-filled their eyes as they saw a kid threaten them, and it was all caught on camera.
The camera person smirked, getting a glimpse of what UA students were capable of. This was a perfect opening for a good story in the press's eyes. They will never tell the truth, though.
"Do not touch my students. Leave now!" Aizawa raised his voice.
He turned and walked behind Y/n, acting as a shield so no one else would try to do something they weren't supposed to. Aizawa walked along her side until she was safe in the classroom.
"I apologize for what happened. I didn't think they would go to such desperate measures to get just a glimpse of UA," Aizawa said.
Y/n shook her head. "I'm sorry for using my quirk," she mumbled, not making eye contact with him.
"No need to be sorry, it wasn't your fault, and you did it out of self-defense," He resurrected Y/n.
A slight smile crept onto her lips. She felt bad because she knew how bad this story would end up. A teenage girl using her quirk to threaten civilians, a girl who was training to be a "future hero." Y/n could already imagine how terrible all the comments would be. Not that she was worried. More so, it was irritating.
-------
Y/n entered the classroom. All eyes were on her.
"Umm L/n, Look," Mina said, flipping her phone.
Y/n walked closer, and it was an article about how UA isn't training their kids good enough then the video of Y/n using her quirk. The press completely edited out their interviewer, grabbing Y/n's wrist.
"That camera person needs a raise. I look good," Y/n said, checking herself out.
"Really, they make a video saying that UA isn't training their kids right and use you as the example and all you have to say is that you look good," Mina scoffed. She held in her laughter because, at the moment. Everyone was worried about what was going to happen next.
