I still intend to update every friday but this chapter took longer than I expected :) Enjoy

Y/n sat in the waiting room. She didn't want to go and face her friends. She knew that she didn't overdo it but was afraid to look at her hands. The side effects were already starting to appear, her head throbbed, her legs tender, and her hands numb. She considered forfeiting. The pain running throughout her body was pain she had never felt. Training with her dad was far less simple than the amount of torment she had to endure during this Festival. She closed her eyes and took in 4 seconds breaths; it was a basic technique that her father taught her to do whenever under pressure. She enjoyed the quiet time she was getting in the breakroom, but unfortunately, it all had to be interrupted.

"umm, L/n?" Midoriya whispered, seeing that she had her head down

Y/n lifted her head, and before looking at Midoriya, she took in another deep breath before speaking. "Yes?" she answered.

"Are you okay?" He asked, steadily stepping closer, not wanting to force any physical touch if she didn't want to.

She smiled and nodded. "I'm fine. Is it your turn?" She said, getting out of the chair.

Midoriya nodded. "Yea, but I can wait outside if you still need a few more minutes in here" His eyes softened while his smile grew.

Y/n shook her head. She walked towards the door lazily, forcing herself not to show any pain. "Good luck on your next round," she spoke softly.

Before Midoriya could say anything else, Y/n closed the door. He pressed his lips together. Although Y/n was trying to keep her composer up, it was evident that she was in pain. She limped, making her way to the door, her voice not as vibrant, her eyes losing their light. He was excited about the whole event but did notice how much toll it took on the students. He worried for Y/n, she was already injured from the cavalry battle, and now she looked even more exhausted after her first battle. He reluctantly sat in the same chair Y/n sat in and flipped through his notebook, finding the page that was for Todoroki. He studied before his next match for the remaining time he had left in the breakroom.

Y/n walked through the halls on her way to Recovery girl again. She didn't want to miss Midoriya's match, but if she didn't get healed, then she would pass out. She walked on the staircase, focusing on her feet to keep herself awake. The more she moved, the faster her vision became fuzzy. She felt herself tip to the side, and everything went black before she could catch herself.

"I think it's because they hang around you." Recovery girl shoved All Might. "You show them how to be risky," She scolded him. It was the third time a child from 1-A had come into her room. She was proud that they at least were getting help but mad that they were pushing themselves over their limits. "I hope you know this is her second time coming in. She was already injured from her palms, and by the looks of it, she won't be able to continue."

All Might's eyes widened. He wasn't informed that Y/n was already injured. He would have talked to her about limiting herself if he had known. He leaned on the wall and looked at her sleeping. He couldn't help but smile. The same image of Y/n's father played in his head. He had just finished fighting a villain and needed to go to the hospital. F/n laid on the bed while All Might was by his side. "You know she's like her father."

"Can't control her quirk?"

All Might choked on air. He cleared his throat and continued, "No, pushing their limits no matter the situation." He walked up to Y/n and brushed her hair out of her face. "She could have just lost, but she kept pushing to win. probably cause she knew her dad was watching."
