Insomnia was a bitch, and Izuku had had it.

How long was it, since they had a good night's sleep?

Even Izuku had lost count of the days.

The teenager had gone through periods of insomnia before, all caused due to the stress of dealing with Katsuki. This time it was the worst, it had been over a year since they had a dream about their past memories, and ever since the night Aizawa had barged into their room to wake them up, they barely could sleep through the night. Izuku had tried everything, from chamomile tea to the sleeping pills they had been prescribed, when they suffered from insomnia before. This time, not even the pills worked.

The training with Nezu too had taken a turn; many days it took Nezu to depend on another tech that he had made to stop the child from combusting through their quirk. He had devised rings that he could wear, so that if Izuku's quirk went out of control, it would send a signal to Izuku's band, sending electrical impulses through their body to calm them down. "Emote" was not that easy to handle, and Nezu made Izuku use the quirk on the rat-man bear, mainly to see if Izuku was finally able to stop passing out. It did not work, 4 out of 5 times, the child had passed out, and the fifth Izuku had barely been conscious. The quirk training made Izuku super tired as well, which mixed with the insomnia they were experiencing had made them irritable. They also shunned away from any form of human interaction as well, going as far as snapping at All Might one day at their scheduled training. All Might had been surprised and had suggested that they take a break. Which led to Izuku sitting under the tree in the training area near the dorms, waiting for All Might to come back, who had left to get some drinks.

A gaggle of voices came from the other end of the area, gradually increasing in their volume. Izuku tiredly looked up from their resting spot and stiffened, it was Katsuki and the rest of the Bakusquad. Compared to the depressed and tired state that Izuku was in, they all were cheerful and full of life; the spars between Katsuki and Kirishima too was being received with excitement by the rest of the squad. Izuku watched on, the more and more they saw Katsuki interact with them, the more they felt irritable. Soon the rest of the squad was gone, leaving Katsuki and Kirishima to continue with their training as the rest walked towards Gym Gamma to train there. The comradery between the two students had irked Izuku, as they saw how easy and friendly Katsuki was with Kirishima.

The dream suddenly popped into their head. In front of them was another version of Katsuki, one that they had always hoped would come back. The version of Katsuki from their dreams had a stark difference from what they were seeing in front of them now. The irritation had now turned to anger, and Izuku had gotten up, wringing their arms as they tried to calm themselves down from the unfairness that they were registering in their mind.

"Look at him now, he's been so friendly and kind with them. What the fuck was wrong with me ha? Why do I get bullied for years whereas these other people get his good boy side? Bloody faker, always making me think it's my fault that I lost him as a best friend. Kept telling me I was looking down at him when he was the one doing that. Why do they get the caring, kind Kacchan?! I was his best friend first!"

Izuku's loud mumbles traveled across the area towards where Katsuki and Kirishima trained and before they knew it, they had an audience. The two watched Izuku mumble and hold their right wrist hard; it was as if the green-haired teenager was holding back onto something. Katsuki's eyes grew wide when he realized what they were mumbling about, and Kirishima had heard it all too. Kirishima stood there confounded, that was the first time he had heard Izuku say more than one sentence loudly and that too, to hear something negative from the usually kind Midoriya was putting him off. He stared at Katsuki, who in turn looked back at him with an expression of guilt, which surprised Kirishima as he realized what Midoriya was saying was the truth.

"Fuck." They heard them curse. "Fuck! Why the fuck?! WHY THE FUCK?!"

Their eyes widened as Izuku finally burst out.

The tree that they had taken refuge under was turned into sawdust in a matter of seconds.

Unable to control their emotions, with the insomnia and "Emote" fuelling them, Izuku had somehow activated a hundred percent of "One for All." Together with the tree, the ground nearby them was destroyed in the blink of an eye; Katsuki and Kirishima standing in their own spot in shock, unable to believe their eyes. A swish of wind passed the both of them and they realized it was All Might, who had dropped the water bottles he had brought and rushed towards Izuku.

All Might had never expected seeing his student go so out of control. As he rushed towards Izuku, he grabbed hold of the deranged student with his left arm, before hitting Izuku's carotid with his right hand. That had made Izuku faint instantly, and All Might shifted the child in his arms, cradling them with care, as he analyzed that Izuku's right arm was fully shattered.

He looked at the two students who still stood there in shock and asked.

"What the hell happened when I was away?"

Both of them could not say a word.

CHAPTER 6 ENDS.

**AN: Yup, Kiri knows a bit now. Also, insomnia is a bitch. I've gone through it many times before to know that you just turn into a person you don't like to be. Thankfully, Izuku didn't knock anyone out with Emote. Yet. Stay tuned!**
