Logan

I walked into a small coffee shop I started working at. The place was called Jeff's Coffee and was nestled in the middle of breakfast places and bars that scattered about in L.A.

There was a brown headed boy with blonde highlights scrubbing some of the tables. He was my age and was dressed in jeans, a white t-shirt and the Jeff's Coffee apron.

He looked at me with a striking gaze as his bright sapphire eyes pierced my soul and dig itself into my heart.

I felt weak staring into his gazed. My knees buckled against each other as a smile crept upon the boys pink lips.

His name tag read Xavier and I thought the name fit him well.

"Hello, I'm Xavier Lennon! I know I'm hot but you don't have to stare!" The British boy laughed.

I blushed and swallowed.

"Logan Ashphalt," I said.

"You come to work here didn't you, mate?"

"Yes."

"Well, follow me!"

The boy led me behind the desk and took out an apron.

"Get to work, boy, name tags are under the coffee makers. And make yourself useful," Xavier said. He smirked. "And quit your staring, mate."

I rolled my eyes. Bossy ass.

He said his last name was Lennon but he was way to young to be John Lennon's son. Perhaps he was his grandson or maybe he just happened to share the same name as the late Beatle.

I'd have to ask him later.

"You know, you're a mighty quiet fella," Xavier said.

"I know," I replied.

"Rather cheeky," Xavier said scrunching his nose.

"Are you related to John Lennon?" I asked.

Xavier smiled proudly.

"I sure am! His grandson actually. Julian Lennon's son!" Xavier said.

"Didn't John abandon Julian? I thought that was what Hey Jude is about?" I said.

"Shut your mouth about that!"

"You seem to be riding off of your grandpa's fame when he really wasn't a great person."

Xavier growled under his breath and clutched the broom.

"Shut your mouth, Ashphalt," Xavier said stepping closer to me. He grabbed my shirt and inched his face right in front of mine. "Before I make you."

I pushed him away from me.

"Get back to work Ashphalt and don't make a scene. And if I were you I'd do the only thing I'm good at. Keeping my mouth shut," Xavier said before he turned away and went back to working.

"I'm sorry," I said.

"I said keep your mouth shut, Ashphalt," Xavier said.

"It's Logan," I said.

"I don't care what it is. I'll call you what I want," Xavier said.

"You seem upset," I said.

"No shit," Xavier said.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"You really wanna know?" I asked.

"Yeah," I said.

He looked me dead in the eyes and said something that took my breath away.

"I'm in love with you."
