Axl

I stared at Stacey in disbelief. She couldn't possibly form feeling for me? After she got sober and is tending to her children more she comes out and says this as if it's nothing.

We not as if it's nothing. Tears are streaming down her pretty face. She's read and frustrated with everything that's going on.

I looked at her with such pity. I saw her for the first time.

And I don't like what I see.

I see a woman who is tired of life. She has children who have been hurt by her and even she hurt herself.

I was in love with the woman in front of me. But I swore never to act on it for the children's sake.

No.

For Logan's sake.

Because he's the only one to cause any kind of problems within our life.

There's something wrong with everything in the world to Logan.

I wonder what Xavier feels about him or if he helps him in any way.

"You aren't going to say anything?" Stacey asked breaking me from my thoughts.

"I... I love you too," I stammered. "But what about Logan."

Stacey looked at the ground and got lost in her own trail of thoughts about her son.

"Could we probably do this in secret? What he doesn't know can't hurt him," Stacey said.

"I don't know, Stacey, he's a smart boy," I said.

"Kiss me, Axl!" Stacey demanded.

"What?" I asked.

"I said kiss me, it's been a while since someone had ever loved me. In fact, Joseph began feeling nothing for me around the time of his death. So kiss me! Love me, Axl! Bring me to your bed and give me everlasting love!" Stacey said.

And that what I did. The second the kids were out of the house visiting a friend.

I brought that woman to my bed and made love to her like there was no tomorrow.

We laid side by side panting. Out hair was a mess and so we're the sheets but we felt happy.

That was until the phone rang.

Stacey got dressed in one of my shirts and walked over to the phone.

"Hello?... Yes, I'm Natalia's mother... Mhm... Keep her calm I'll be there in a minute," Stacey said over the phone.

"It's Natie, she's having nightmares and won't stop crying," Stacey said.

I sighed and got dressed and grabbed my keys.

Stacey followed me and we went out to the car.

"So... Can we... Date?" Stacey asked. "Was sex not a good enough answer?" I asked with a chuckle. Stacey laughed too. "I love you, Ax," she said.

We arrived at Natalia's friend's house and I went out to get her.

She hugged me and I brought her out to the car.

"Hey, Natie," Stacey said.

"Hello, mommy," Natalia said happily.

We drove down the road for a bit and then we saw two boys dancing in the streetlights.

"Pull over," Stacey said. I did as told.

"It's Logan and his boyfriend," Stacey said.

They laughed and held each other as they danced the night away.

"Okay, let's stop, I'm a bit tired," Logan said sitting on the side of the road. The interlocked their fingers.

"Do you think that dead people watch over us?" Logan asked.

"I don't know," Xavier saud slinging his arms over Logan's shoulders.

"I hope my dad is watching," Logan said. "I think that Axl and mom are falling in love."

"Are you upset?" Xavier asked.

"No, I'm not. In fact, I'm happy. But... I just... I don't want to see their love fail like mom and dad's did," Logan said.

Stacey sighed and gripped my hand.

"What if it doesn't," Xavier saud.

"Our love won't fail will it?" Logan asked.

"Of course not, angel. It won't, we love each other too much," Xavier said.

He held his hand out to Logan and they began walking side by side the other way. Where I'm guessing to be Xavier's house.

"They're so cute," Stacey said.

"Yeah, I hope they love each other for a while. It would kill me to see Logan's heart broken," I said.

"They'll love each other for a while," Stacey said. She looked behind her and saw that Natalia was asleep.

"And so will we," Stacey said kissing my lips.
