Part 7

Eddy slunk out of the bed then slowly made his way towards the bathroom.

Slowly he turned around as he heard the soft footsteps coming closer and out of pure instinct he hid the test behind his back and he whirled to Eddy, his deadpan securely in place.

Eddy wondered why Brett was so quiet, it made his stomach sink. Certainly the silence didn't mean anything good, "Do you plan on showing or telling me?"

He guessed if it was negative he didn't want to hear about it. But the alpha worked hard not to smile; he bit in his cheeks to keep a straight face. Slowly, so as to not torture Eddy any more he raised the test, result to him. Then he spun it around, saying nothing. He wanted for Eddy to have this moment for himself, like he got it for himself too.

The test was positive.

Now Eddy understood why Brett was dead silent, because he found himself falling into silence. First it was silence due to shock then silence of disbelief. Many emotions ran through his head, he wasn't sure how to react. Although he felt like he could cry from joy. He opened his mouth and then closed it but nothing came out.

Brett placed the test gingerly back on the sink, opened his arms, and pulled Eddy gently towards him. There were no words needed. A second positive test. He couldn't believe it. He definitely couldn't. But man, that was incredible!

Laughter bubbled up in his chest and he first giggled and then simply laughed. Tears were running down his face, his body shook uncontrollably. The room became dark as Brett closed his eyes and he gave Eddy a wet kiss. Eddy kissed back, cupping Brett's face with both his hands. With that he pressed into the kiss passionately. Seeing his mate cry was the breaking point in a good way. The floodgates of Eddy's eyes were opened.

They spent a good amount of time just arm in arm, weeping. Brett alternated between crying and laughing and if anyone would see them like that, they would assume they were crazy. But no, well, yes, they were crazy, but crazy in a good way.

They sank on the fluffy bath mat and Brett hugged Eddy, kissing him over and over again. Eddy melted into it, he had nothing to say. The joy was overwhelming, he didn't know what to do with himself. He loved the joy on Brett's face, it was a beautiful look on his mate. Although he wondered when he got pregnant since they hadn't been doing it recently.

Brett held Eddy's face in his hand and he beamed at the omega. Before he said a peep, he kissed Eddy with a lot more vigor than needed and they fell back on the floor. As Brett pulled away he giggled, his face saying it all.

"Gosh, I love you so, so, so much. Finally we get another one! Aren't you ecstatic?"

Eddy chuckled softly from where he now lay on the floor, "I am... But like how long have I been pregnant?"
Why hadn't he taken a pregnancy test sooner!?

"We will run some tests in the hospital for sure. But dang, that explains your symptoms! You are pregnant and hit with morning sickness!" Brett laughed again, kissed Eddy one more time and then, finally, got up, patting very very carefully the still flat stomach, lowly growling at it in pure bliss. His omega was pregnant once again! It was like a miracle. Eddy smiled shyly as Brett petted his stomach, "How will we tell the girls? Do you think they'll be okay with another addition?"
He asked despite them already telling the kids that they were thinking of adding to their family. It was never Eddy's goal to keep things away from his daughters. He wanted to tell them the truth, so they had told them it was a possibility. This was so they could prepare for that idea. Or at least think about it.

The alpha nodded, "Maybe we should first check with a doc, honestly. I mean, you kept Mei against all odds but I don't want to take any chances. When you are over the first trimester, okay? Then we will talk to them." Brett wasn't against telling them, not at all, but Eddy had a dangerous job and even if he had a pregnancy which he carried through before, Brett just didn't want to take any chances. What if they told the kids and then Eddy lost it? No, that would not do. It would hurt the whole family too deeply. So after the first trimester he was fine with it. The kids had a right to know.
