Chapter 22
1 week already passed after our 3 days vacation. We're already back at school. Sobrang daming tambak na activities, kaya buong linggo ay ayon lang ang inasikaso ko. Jake understand if I can't talk to him every hour. But now, I'm finally done. Wala na akong dapat asikasuhin.
"Let's date, Love," I said to Jake. I'm talking tp him at the phone righ now. I missed him so much. Kahit araw-araw kaming nagkikita sa school ay iba pa din kapag may quality time kami. No schoolworks. At wala ang utak namin sa lessons.
"Sure. Where do you want to go?"
"Tagaytay? Di na natuloy yung pagpunta dapat natin doon, eh." Nung nililigawan pa lang ako ni Jake inaya niya na ako doon. Hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa din natutuloy dahil nga busy kami parehas.
"Yeah, sure. Friday night?"
"Yes!" Gosh, I want to have a vacation again. I feel so drained right now. But seeing this man laughing, all my tiredness was already gone. Ilang araw ko na siya gustong makasama. Pero, we need to prioritize our studies. And we both understand each other.
"Okay, Mahal. Are you going to sleep na?"
"Yes, ikaw?"
"Yeah. I'll visit you tomorrow nalang, okay?"
We talked a little more before bidding goodbye.
Kinabukasan ay late na akong nagising dahil din puyat ako ng ilang araw. At least, nabawi ang puyat ko na 'yon. Bumangon ako sa kama at ginawa ang usual routine ko before going out. Habang naghihilamos ako ay naalala ko nga pala na pupunta si Jake ngayon. Kaya binilisan ko ang ginagawa ko.
Nagpalit din ako ng komportable na damit bago bumaba.
At doon ay nakita ko si Jake na tinutulungan si Mommy magluto. They're so cute! I slowly walked towards them. Mom is teaching Jake how to make a steak. Ang aga steak ang pagkain namin. Tapos kapag ako ang nagre-request hindi pwede? Ang unfair ha!
"You're betraying me, Mom," I said while my arms are crossed.
She laughed. Napatingin naman sa 'kin si Jake. Agad siya lumapit sa 'kin at hinalikan ang noo ko.
"Good morning, Mahal."
"Good morning din, Love. You didn't call me."
"Well, I called you 10 times and you're not answering." Ay, tinawagan niya pala ako? Ganoon ba kasarap ang tulog ko para hindi ko marinig yung ring ng cellphone ko?
"Oh, di ko dala ang phone ko kaya hindi ko nakita. Anyways, Mommy!"
"What? I'm just teaching him how to cook steak."
"And me?! How many times I asked you to teach me how to make a steak and you're always saying tomorrow."
Sakto naman na bumaba si Daddy. Mukhang kakagising lang din.
"Why are you two fighting?"
"Tss, Mom's teaching Jake how to make a steak but when I'm asking her to teach me she's always saying tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow," I said while imitating Mom's voice.
They are just laughing at me. Even my boyfriend is laughing! Aba, bahala sila dyan. Pagtapos nilang magluto ay kumain na din kami. Mom and Dad are just asking Jake about his plan after graduation ang so many more questions.
After eating, Mom and Dad went out to buy groceries. Sabi nga namin ni Jake ay kami nalang ang bibili pero ayaw ni Daddy. Magde-date daw sila ni Mommy. And Mom hit Daddy with the wallet she's holding.
"Should we watch a movie here or date din tayo?" I asked Jake while we're sitting on the sofa.
"Let's have a date, Mahal," he said and I nodded.
Nagpaalam lang ako saglit na maliligo muna ako para naman fresh akong tignan diba. Ang lakas ng loob ko na bumaba kanina at magpakita kay Jake ng hindi naliligo. Okay lang daw, mahal niya pa din naman ako. Nang sinabi niya 'yon ay kinurot ko siya sa braso.
"Let's go," We're going to ride in his car. Dala niya naman yung kaniya, eh.
When I open the door, I was so shocked when I saw a bouquet of flowers and a teddy bear.
"Love, ano ba yan!"
He hugged me at the back.
"Hmm, why? Don't you like it?"
"I love it. Thank you!"
"Always welcome, Mahal. I love you."
"I love you more," then, I kissed him.
Habang nasa sasakyan ay napansin ko na may picture kami doon ni Jake. It's our photo together that he posted on Instagram. Nakalagay sa maliit na clip so it won't fall kapag nag da-drive siya.
"Oh, my god. This is me?" It's our picture together when we were 5 years old, I think.
"Yeah. If you didn't remember, that day is my birthday."
Wow, he really likes me back then? I didn't even remember that we've met. Kung hindi pa niya sinabi kung paano kami nagkakilala, hindi ko pa malalaman. It's crazy, right? He has just a crush on me when we were young and now we're already in a relationship. I hope we ended up having a happy family.
"You want to see other photos together?" Meron pa kami? Wow.
May kinuha siya na parang envelop and then he gave it to me. I open it and I saw all our photos together. I took one by one. I saw our photo when we were in grade 1. We were making sandcastles together.
"If you didn't remember, your Mom invited us to their rest house in Batangas. You were their and Mom took a picture of us."
"Really?!" Grabeng revelations naman today! Ang dami ko na palang nakalimutan na memories. Kaya pala sobrang bait sa 'kin ng Mom ni Jake. At kaya naman pala ganoon ka-close si Mommy at Jake. My parents didn't even tell me that I know Jake for a long time!
Tinignan ko lang lahat ng pictures naming dalawa. He really compiled it all, huh?
We go to Tanay Rizal. It's cold here and it's like we're in Baguio. I saw many mountains and trees. We decided to eat at Pico de Pino Cafe & Restaurant. Mommy said that the food here are good. Siguro eto yung pinuntahan nila last month.
"Sa taas tayo?" Jake suggested. I nodded because I want to see the beautiful view.
While Jake is ordering, I'm taking pictures of the view. I take picture of Jake, too. He's so handsome today. Well, wala namang araw na hindi siya gwapo sa paningin ko. Kahit yata naka pambahay siya ay sobrang gwapo niya. Kaya habulin ng mga babae, eh!
"Are you done ordering?"
"Yes. Come here, Mahal. I want to hug you." My clingy boyfriend!
I go near to him. He hugged me immediately and kissed the top of my head. Ang tangkad talaga neto. Kahit nakasuot ako ng heels ay hindi ko siya mapantayan. Kapag naman titignan ko siya minsan ay nakatingala pa ako.
"You missed me that much?" I said while chuckling.
"Yes, super, Mahal. I miss hugging you so much." Aw, my baby missed me. That's why I finished all my school works immediately so we can have time for each other.
"I missed you more, Love," I said while resting my head on his chest.
This is the rest that I wanted.
