Three Years Later...

Edward P.O.V

The light from the sun coming through the open window wakes me up. I yawn, stretching my arms. Bella shifts over my right arm where her head is resting on. I smile at her, looking at her as she sleeps. We've been married for three years now, Bruno has grown so much and he's very talkative, nothing like his mother.  He talks and talks, but we mostly can't understand what he's saying.

My baby girl's cry sounds through the baby monitor. I slowly back away from my love and walk to Katherine's room. She's One year old, which was yesterday when all the family came over for her party. Bruno was very excited when we told him that he would have a baby brother or sister and what Bella thinks it's very cute that he's a very jealous little man.

I enter Katherine's room and there I see Bruno, on his toes, trying to reach up her crib. When he notices I'm here, he says, "Daddy, sister is crwying," he points to Katherine with impatience.

"It's okay, Daddy got it," I said, walking over to her crib. I take Katherine in my arms, rocking her around. She immediately stops crying, resting her little head on my chest. Her bronze curls fall down her shoulders and on my chest. I take her little pale hand and kiss it.

Bruno starts pulling my sweatpants, impatiently. "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"

"What happened, Bruno?" I asked, looking at him.

"I want to hold her!" He points to Katherine with an angry expression.

"Well, aren't you a little impatient," I chuckled. "Go, wake up Mommy and help her down to the kitchen, I'm going to make breakfast."

"Mommy!" He yelled, running out of the room.

I rolled my eyes, looking at Katherine who had a small smirk on her face, pressed on my chest.

"Well, isn't your brother active this morning. Come on, baby girl, let's go make breakfast." I carry her down the stairs, to the kitchen.

Katherine starts babbling, pointing out the big glass door to our backyard which was the beautiful view of the beach. The sun was just raising from the horizon, illuminating the perfect blue sky. Katherine has always shown how much she liked it.

After Bella and I got married, we wanted to move away from the place a lot of horrible things happened. Just like our first time, I surprised her when I bought the beach house. We've lived here for almost three years, but we do leave every time there's  going to be a big storm or whatever.

I put Katherine on her high chair and start the stove for the French Toast.

"The last step," I hear Bruno say from the stairs. I look over and see him holding Bella's hand, helping her down the last step. My wife smiles, holding her stick, walking where Bruno guides her.

"Morning, Love," I said, walking up to her. I kiss her lips and guide her back to the table.

After everything, Bella decided she wanted to give it time before she tried that operation again. Almost two years ago she decided she wanted to do it, then when they were making all the tests they found out she was pregnant with Katherine, which made everything stop until Bella feels like trying again.

Katherine babbles, again when she sees Bella.

"Hey, baby." Bella reaches over and touches her little hands. "You woke up Daddy, didn't you?" She smiled.

"Mommy, can me sit on your lap?" Bruno asked.

"Of course, Sweetie. Hop on," Bella leaned back so Bruno could sit on her lap. He laid his head on her chest and hugged her by the waist.

"Mommy, the sky has the pretty blue color, again," Bruno says. He may be really young, but he understands his mother's condition. He sometimes tells Bella what color the sky is turning, or whatever he finds interesting, he explains it to his mother.

"Is it beautiful?" Bella asked, kissing the top of his head.

"Very," he simply said.

We spent our day just like any other. We showered the kids, fed them and spent time with them. Later on Bruno wanted to swim at the beach, so we took him. I swam with him while Bella sat on the sand with Katherine.

I could hear Bella laugh every time I spun Bruno around in the air, I bet she could hear his cute little laugh. "Again, Daddy, again!" He cheered.

So, I did.

That night Bella fed Katherine and helped me put her and Bruno to bed.

"Edward."

"Yeah?" I laid down next to her on our bed.

"I think I'm really for the operation," she blurts out.

I sit up. "Baby, are you sure? We can still wait if you want," I said.

"No." She shook her head. "I wanna be able to see Bruno and Katherine grow, see us grow old together. I don't wanna be blind for the rest of my life. I don't want my kids to see that I do nothing because I can't see. And, to be honest, you're almost a house wife."

"Bella, it doesn't bother me at all being home all day with you and the kids."

"It does to me-okay, don't get me wrong, I love having you here. But, that's my work. I'm the mother, I'm suppose to wake up early in the morning and feed the kids; make you breakfast and all that stuff a normal person do-"

"We don't have to be normal in order to be happy."

"But, I still want to try."

I nod, kissing her forehead. "Okay, well try. One last time."
