"I'm not leaving, not now!" Armitage hissed. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Armitage wasn't in bed. I looked over at the clock.
It's midnight. What is he doing up?
Armitage wasn't in the room either. I slid out of our silk sheets and stepped on the cold floor. I walked over to the cradle where Jango was sleeping soundly; I smiled when I looked down at him. I quietly walked over to the door and stopped once I heard Kylo Ren's voice. I pressed my ear against the door and listened.
"I need you aboard my ship," Kylo said. Why was he here?
"I can't do that, Ren."
"You have to. That's an order."
"Listen, Kylo, Jetta just had our child one week ago. I can't leave her."
"Doesn't she have that other guy, Rass, to protect her?"
"No," Armitage said, confused.
"Oh, yeah, that's right. We found him and killed him."
"Why?"
"He was the one who told the Resistance that we were coming."
I stifled a gasp. Zors was dead? That can't be... I accidentally opened the door and Kylo looked over at me.
"Jetta, go back to bed," Armitage said.
"No."
"Jetta, please," he said, clearly irritated. I ignored him and walked over to Kylo.
"What's wrong, Supreme Leader?" I asked. Something about him was off. He wasn't wearing his mask like usual.
"It's nothing," he said. "It's just that the girl..." His voice trailed off and he looked out the window. I felt a strange presence and turned around. No one was there, but I could feel it. I turned back around and looked at Kylo. He came back to reality.
"General, I will be expecting you aboard the Finalizer tomorrow; and Fett, I want you aboard too, if you can," he stated firmly, leaving the room. Armitage sighed, giving in.
"I'm sorry, Jetta," he said, taking my hands.
"I'm coming with you," I said.
"You're staying here with Jango and Rosemary," he said.
"I'm taking them with me. I can't stand being away from you," I said.
"Jetta, I need you to stay."
"Don't push me away, Armitage."
"I don't want to, but I can't have you with me. Not this time. I have a duty to do."
"Armitage, you hate it on board that ship. What do they do to you?" I asked.
"What do you mean? They don't do anything to me," he said quickly.
"Don't lie to me. Every time I see you, you're tired, you have dark circles under your eyes, your lip or nose is bleeding, and you're always agitated. What have they done to you?"
"Nothing."
"You don't have to endure this type of mistreatment. Leave the First Order; we can run away."
"Where to? We can't just disappear!"
"We can try! Why do you even stay? What's there that makes you stay?"
He was silent for a moment.
"I could ask you the same question."
"Armitage, please, we need to leave."
