I scanned the area, looking for any sign of Dameron. This place was full of people and it honestly shocked me. After several moments of searching, I ran into a young girl walking through the post with a small orange and white BB unit rolling beside her. I stopped her.
"Excuse me, miss. Where did you get this droid?" I asked, looking down at the droid I knew as BB-8.
"He came to me," she said, backing away. "You can't have him."
"Oh, I don't want him. I have my own droid. But where is his owner?"
"He was captured by the first order," she answered, looking at me with suspicion.
"There's no need to be frightened; I was just curious as to how you acquired this droid. Thank you, ah, what's your name?"
"Rey."
"Rey what?" I asked her.
"It's just Rey; I don't have a surname. What about you? What's your name?" She asked, examining my armour.
"Jetta Fett. Thank you for your time Rey."
"Of course," she said as she walked away. So Poe must've been here; that's his droid. But I don't believe that girl could lie to me.
I continued to search the trading post; that's when I saw it. Poe's jacket. I ran over to what I thought was Poe, but when he turned around, I was shocked.
"That's not Poe Dameron," I whispered. It was a stormtrooper, but his armour had been removed. He looked dehydrated and dirty, and he was out of breath. He looked at me and his eyes widened. He started to run, and I chased after him. I caught up with him and tackled him, causing him to fall on the ground.
"Where did you get this jacket?" I demanded, not moving from my position on top of him.
"I found it in the TIE Fighter wreck!" He managed stop say. He struggled, but I firmly held him down.
"Where's Dameron?" I yelled.
"He's dead!"
"What?"
"Just let me up, and we can talk, please?" He stuttered. I crawled off of him and helped him up.
"What is your name, soldier?" I asked.
"First of all, I'm not a soldier; I'm a janitor. Second, my name is Finn," he said proudly.
"Finn. You're the man who helped Poe escape, aren't you?" I asked.
"Yes, I am. But he's dead. I'm sorry. Now if you'll excuse me-" but I stopped him as he started to walk away.
"Let me give you a piece of advice. Get rid of the jacket." Finn looked at me and furrowed his eyebrows.
"Okay, sure." With this, he left me alone.
So, Poe is dead, huh? I thought, as I walked back to the Revenant. A strange feeling bubbled inside me. It wasn't happiness; rather I felt a twinge of guilt. As much as I hated Dameron, I didn't want him dead just yet. I walked back to the Revenant and sighed. When I entered, I lifted the ramp and said to Zors, "Come on. Let's get back to the dreadnought and get T3."
"Okay," Zors said, slightly confused. "What happened? Did you find Dameron?"
"No. He apparently died in the crash," I said slowly, climbing the ladder into the cockpit. Zors followed me up.
"Oh, um, that's unfortunate," he said.
"Whatever. Let's get off this junkyard," I said, as we started flying back toward the dreadnought. "We are only gonna get T3, tell Kylo what happened, and then leave, understood?" I told Zors.
